I mean tbf actually-competitive games like phantom forces & perhaps even other first-person shooters outside Roblox has day/night cycle toggle options, everyone's just gatekeeping a flaw at this point IMO
If games that are meant to be actually be competitive has one, why can't a game that isn't meant to be competitive... (yet the community's salty af when a slight 'unfair' mechanic that existed for centuries in actual competitive genres get added) ... have one?

One is from a genre where even the slightest change to an ingame mechanic could be a difference between balanced & unbalanced or game-breaking or not (hint, BO3)
Another one is from a genre where having even the most unfair mechanic won't affect anything at all (other than making gatekeepers angry), so to speak (some do, but day/night cycle isn't one of them as it is a visual change)
Keep in mind day/night cycles, if any of yall have played first-person shooters near-competitively or competitively, actually makes a difference because nighttimes make things... darker ofc. And that makes seeing enemies harder.

What if Asians or anyone on the other side of the globe wanted to take a day pic fast so they don't miss a specific event (April Fools, Christmas, etc.) with only a literal few minutes to spare, and the next sunrise won't be for another real-life hour for instance?
(E.g Ingame time is 20:00, their real-life clock is 11:55 & it's December 25th or April 1st)
