This is simple...let's say you landed without fuel. and you stayed a few meters outside the airport... well. You can call a tow truck and have it tow you to the nearest airport. and well. You would have to pay an amount of money but... you save yourself from having to make an entire trip... And it's realistic

whilst not relevant to the situation, for the argument about not having fuel normally what I'd recommend at least is to keep 2% backup

since that one really does fall on planning, and if you glide the plane for a few more minutes most of the times you'll be fine
