A long ass time ago, the game would mock you in the top left corner for having an engine failure, just as if you had crashed. It was a neat little way of telling the entire server you need to maintain your planes and got really funny when you would see people slowly losing more and more engines until you see their crash message

simple, makes the plane have a max of 3 messages, so unless like 20 people crash at the same time, there shouldn't be a risk of flooding
