With the two new cruise ferries in the game, one costing 1.2 million wp and the other costing 2.8 million wp, the ranges for each ship are too low. I understand that cruise ferries have relatively short ranges, however cheaper ships, like the Highway-Class Vehicle carrier and the ACL G2 have WAY MORE range despite costing about 1/4th of the Estonia and despite the low capacity, the carrier and G2 make a lot more wp due to their range. Not suggesting that the cruise ferries have a massive range like 200nm, although an smaller increase in range like AT MOST 100 nm could definitely help make the ferries better with grinding WP and make the 1.2 million and 2.8 million WP price tag more worth it.

The ingame ranges are based on their IRL routes. The same goes for the ocean liners. If you find a valid source for their range please share, I'll be happy to change it
Alright, I'll look, thanks
Btw, the WP costs are greatly reduced because of the low range
The Europa would cost about 1M more, with a high range
So keep that in mind too
If anything these ships are a cheaper alternative for anyone who wants to do shorter routes
After a bit of searching, the final (and longest) route of the Estonia was from Tallin, Estonia to Stockholm, Sweden, and according to UK travel service, "Direct Ferries" they say, "There are approximately 204 nautical miles (378km) between the Tallinn ferry port and the Stockholm ferry port." source (https://www.directferries.com/tallinn_stockholm_ferry.htm) although i could be incorrect.
Compare Tallinn to Stockholm ferry times, prices and book ferry tickets at directferries.co.uk to save on your trip.
378 km is equivalent to 43 km ingame
Still that would be extremely low so I added enough range for a round-trip and then a bit more
The SR.N4 is another example, realistic range would be 32 but it got doubled
I understand now, thanks for clarifying, also one more question would that mean that 8.79 irl km is equal to 1 aeronautica km?
Not really, the formula isn't linear
wait what
how does that even work
porabola?
is the entire map in a giant fish eye lens?
wait you said not quadratic mb
wait while youre here
