irl catapult operators only set power to just have barely enough speed by the end of the catapult
its why when you see videos of planes taking off from carrier catapults you can see the plane drop a bit
irl catapults don’t cause planes to hit the water surface
that’s a few feet
not all the way to the water surface like in aero
wait are they really that underpowered in game
last time i checked they worked fine
yeah, at least with the F-14 and F/A-18E, F, and EA-18G, they can barely take off without hitting the water surface
you HAVE to go full AB when you press , to start the catapult to clear the water, and even then as i said it's literally just by a foot at times

although the main carrier catapults are directed 270 so they arent affected much by float error
during seraphim update

according to my friend, they did work before the update

they’ve been underpowered like this since it was moved to aktanes

like op said the hornet/super hornet and tomcat can barely scrape above the water even with full afterburner and catapult
my newly bought f-18 nearly turned into a submarine when i first launched it
Please fix
so it can be that floating point and weird vectors that fucked the power
