im also having this issue. switched over to a different browser didnt help me as well
also had this issue, it fixed itself, now its back
Still broken for me. I'm using brave browser
Also, im using 7tv via the FFZ extension
same im also having this issue its been going on for 2 days now
Where are you guys from?
and if it will be the same country then which isp
You could also try changing your DNS to 1.1.1.1 for example
And check if https://cdn.7tv.app is working
If it works with vpn then most likely it's isp/dns issue
it says connection not private
did you do the thing with host file in known issues compendium?
Can you do nslookup cdn.7tv.app in cmd?
yea
ok it worked i had to remove the 37.27.171.117 cdn.7tv.app. cdn.7tv.app from host file
thanks any way though
what you have tried?
this was from that reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/1hcn4wk/7tv_emotes_not_loadingshowing/ right?
cdn.7tv.app is behind cloudflare anycast system, maybe its an problem with TLS/SSL Inpection or some kind.
a few months ago i put this line in my host file too when emotes stopped working and that solved it at the time, but they stopped working again a few days ago and i also removed/commented out the line, and now emotes work fine again
Sounds like something to try when I'm at my computer next.
So far I've tried adding the hosts fix, as well as setting my dns as specified in the known issues thread. Also just restarting my browser and such.
yea
I'm still being routed to 37.27.171.119 for eu.cdn.7tv.app, and it's serving an expired SSL certificate (expired 10 July 2025). This is happening even on mobile networks (UK), but works fine over VPN (US). Looks like some CDN edge nodes might have not been updated. Can 7tv devs flush or re-provision those stale edges at all?
EDIT: I actually already had that reddit thread note above in my hosts file... must have been due to previous issue. I deleted. Flushed DNS via cmd and emotes working. Phew.
If the problem occurs again with you or someone else, I have several IPv4 which would also work.
CloudFlare is actually there so that these are not publicly visible or the traffic is routed via CloudFlare and not directly via the IPv4...
This has also been happening to me. ðŸ˜
