if you make an image slightly smaller, particularly with something like the nearest neighbor algorithm, it will just "skip" columns of pixels which is what looks to be happening in that image.

But afaik it shouldn't happen with the "normal" algorithms like bilinear/bicubic

86/4 = 21.5

I've uploaded a 88x128 emote before, and I chose that resolution so the 1x size would look best

but I didn't realize it would scale the the bigger sizes to match

I guess just make sure all your resolutions pass the mod 4 = 0 test
