i’m drawing them, exporting the animated art as a gif (program doesn’t have webp as a supported export file type), running it through ez gif to convert because the site seems to hate gifs right now lol, then uploading to 7tv. my file sizes are insanely low, like less than 200kb, and because i’m exporting as a gif i keep the color palette limited.
i’ve tried uploading at different sizes (1000x1000, 500x500, 128x128) but the bigger ones turn blurry and the smaller ones turn crunchy

It’s sharper but the edges are all jagged. That happens when you choose a larger-than-128 pixel file and 7TV isn’t downsampling the image smoothly in the preview. I’m not sure why tbh. It does get resampled more smoothly as part of the image processing. It looks a little too smooth in your post-upload screenshot though. Maybe they’re working on the image processor and changing some resampling methods or something.
Bicubic instead of bilinear can cause more blurring, for example.

when you zoom your browser to more than 100% scale (or if you have a higher DPI screen, like a phone) it will make images blurrier than they normally would be
it does appear to be using bicubic resampling, but it isn't making anything too blurry
the preview resampling will look sharper because it's actually displaying the original image larger. For example, at 200% page zoom it's displaying the larger image scaled down to 256x256, which is going to look way sharper than 128x128 scaled UP to 256x256.

A reupload is not the problem. The problem is that nowadays non-subs have to wait an absurd amount of time for their emotes to be approved, to the point that once approved, the emotes would disappear to the depths of uploaded emotes list - discoverability lost! It's very demotivating... My previous two emotes sat in the queue for 19 DAYS, and they were approved now only because I started this discussion yesterday, so who knows, they might have stayed unpublished for even longer.
I kindly request for the moderator team to look into this, and hopefully making it so that all language queues are balanced at least. I don't think volume of emotes in the queue should be an issue anymore.

we have mods covering different languages, and usually these mods filter emotes from this specific language/region (like spanish speaking countries) to do the part that other mods can't cover. sometimes those moderation requests take time, true, because no mods are available 24/7, so that should be understandable, but it might vary from a few hours to a few days.
usually once the languages are cleared, everyone looks at general queue, so all languages remaining - as you can imagine english is biggest one and it takes time. that queue should be processed chronologically, first come first served, but due to the volumes it can take time to reach some emotes that are not covered by specific language mods
the queue used to take much longer before we had proper mod tools, and the sub perk of moderation priority was introduced to help with this as well
so it matters because if you'd say that you're german and youre emotes take too long to be approved, we don't have enough mods, if you're from antarctica then it's definitely niche and it's processed chronologically in general queue

Yet again, how fast the approval process is dictaded by the country of uploader and the avilability of the mods of said language/language group.
Unfortunately that makes countries that are not covered by the mods/not in the major language groups, more often than not, take much more time to get approved.
It's the flaw of the queue's design, but there's not much of a better solution for the time being.
Unfiltered queue (of the languages/countries that are not covered) is quite cumbersome to go through due to it being a blend of unknown lanugages and local memes of a questionable nature, with some intelligible emotes being here and there

Sure, we'll go through an unflitered queue more often, but the fact that it will be falling behind the selected languages stays
Also, important note, the queue display capacity is capped at 250 max so an unfiltered queue can quite literally be unclearable for some time for a set of mods

Nah, not AI-generated. I made everything in Photoshop.
The only “AI-ish” part was using Photoshop’s Harmonization (Neural Filter) / Match Color to make the Santa hat blend naturally with the dog’s lighting. No prompting, no generative fill

i think it still works. the snow can stay that bright if you imagine it as a sunny winter day. the dog’s warm tones could easily come from sunlight hitting from the side, so that golden hue still makes sense. Maybe the snow could have a tiny bit more warmth, but overall it feels pretty natural

ideally there could be an actual credit feature tho.. like showing the original creator’s name on the page, clickable to their 7tv profile or whatever. that’d make it way more fair.

unfortunately the updates to 7tv's site have been nonexistent for almost a year now. I remember that the mockup of the new website promised emote statistics, artist profile, and i think the credit system as well.
