A Night with the Symphony (Atlanta)
Tickets were going fast, and Atlanta worked out better for us - so went ahead and snagged some tix!
Anyone else going to Atlanta show? 🙂
I might be I don’t have tickets yet but I would love to go I won’t be in school anymore so it should be no problem but we’ll see
@west rain They are going fast! (Well - depending if you are doing M&G/VIP) -- I love front row M&G, but it's $600+ this tour *(and for me that is times 3 with wife and daughter) *- on top of the cruise we couldn't do it, so we got some balcony tix for this one. 😃
In any case - there are literally only 40 sub $200 tix left *(and going... I'd estimate a dozen or two are gone just from last 6 hours I was watching) *
Good luck! Let us know if you go, would love to say hi! 😃
I'm thinking about it as I'll be in Smyrna late june ( unsure of the date yet) 600 though 😦 ?
it may be too expensive for me 😦
I only do meet&greet also, I don't think I'd have enough time to stay for the concert
I feel ya, I couldn’t afford it this round. and it’s crazy I think today started with like 50-60+ sub $200 tickets available and I think it’s down to like 10 or fewer last i checked. Good luck! 🍀
I think I will come if everything should work out
@west rain @proud cedar @winter radish Hi! Just checking in any of you going to be there? 😃
No I can’t 😭🫠 something came up it’s always something
Sorry to hear that 😕
Yeah 🙏🏽
I can’t remember the last time I saw a Lindsey show having seen no footage of any of the performances… I did actually make an effort to avoid spoilers for duality, but it was basically impossible not to see something if you were on social media at all. For better for worse work is been so busy. I’ve been pretty disconnected so I have almost no idea what to expect in one minute 🙂
I was there!
@kind crow I did my best to avoid reading anything about the show because I knew it would be such a unique experience.
About the only thing I had done was a vibe check on Reddit about how to dress though the only thread about that was for the Red Rocks show which I think was a different vibe than a symphony hall. I'm glad I went dressy given that I think 90%+ went that way
I can confidently say that was such a fantastic show and I loved it so so much! And also my second Lindsey show in a row where I’ve been utterly rained on, haha!
nice! We were admittedly a bit underdressed 😅
We loved the show though! So glad we decided to come! So cool to hear the different arrangements! ❤️
I think we just barely missed that. Luckily no major traffic. But still 8 hours on the road and we walked in the venue about 745 I think 😬 a bit too close for comfort, lol
OMG yes! What is it with that? 😂 I feel like the last five shows or so we’ve gone to we wind up going through at least one patch of torrential rain where you literally can barely see 30 feet in front of you. (like two of them it was over an hour of torrential rain) …. When we were heading out today, the sky was clear I was like “finally we’re gonna have a nice clear drive”, but we still hit a patch. It was only about 10 or 15 minutes this time for us.
When did you all discover Lindsey? 😃
omg yeah! i got lucky enough to run in right as it got really bad, but i was walking around the lobby looking a bit like a bedraggled ghost. luckily the drive back to my hotel was crystal clear and i managed to get into my parking spot right before the other big theatres basically shut down the road!
Nice! Glad that worked out! I try to get walking distance hotels when possible, I hate the post show traffic!
We came from Raleigh NC area, how about you all?
I have been aware of Lindsey since pretty early on. I enjoyed watching video game covers and such on YouTube way back when. Lindsey was great, but honestly I was a bigger Taylor Davis fan at the time.
I didn't really follow closely as she launched into a proper career, but in 2018 someone invited me to use an extra ticket they had to the double headliner tour with Evanescence. I took her up on it and had such a great time and was pretty immediately a big fan.
I'm in Columbia SC and, frustratingly, she doesn't swing as close as I'd like on most tours but I've made it to 4 other shows since that first one.
I went to the Raleigh show in 2021. It was fabulous.
Note: I still love Taylor Davis and really hope she decides to tour again someday, especially now that she's done some collaborations with Mia Asano (who I have seen live)
We were at that show!! That was my daughter’s first Lindsey show!
It was a special show to me. I had tickets with this girl I'd been seeing but we broke it off. I was trying to decide what to do and saw a pretty cheap front row ticket open on Ticketmaster and I could see if I listed my pair of tickets that they'd be the best pair on the site for resale.
So I pulled the trigger and got rid of my two tickets to fund one front row seat.
And the evanescence co headline tour was me and my wife’s first Lindsey show… we had just discovered her YouTube finally decided to serve me up crystallize that June, had a little blurb at the bottom that she was gonna be in Raleigh the next month, and we kind of went on a whim. But with the music, the performance, the speeches, the feels… we fell in love and try to make it to as many as possible! (and this is like coming from I don’t think we had been to a concert at all in over 10 years)
I actually saw some second row tickets come available for tonight earlier this week for $150 each including fees but they sold while I was waffling if I thought I could unload my current seats lol
I went to the Charlotte date on that tour but it was so great. The encore was Lindsey and Amy Lee covering Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful and it still is haunting to me to this day
And the covers all my regular shows lol. The other two were Christmas shows
I’m actually not familiar with Taylor Davis 😅 maybe I should check her out? As he can see it’s been pretty much just Lindsey Stirling shows lol https://www.concertarchives.org/glyphix-42
Ohh nice! You had front row?? 🤩
I think Taylor's worth a listen for sure!
Haha, I did. It was serendipitous luck it worked out
Front row as hands down the best but we couldn’t afford it this go round so we got tickets pretty far back for this show and then the Salem show for the hailstorm tour
Wait, you’re in Columbia… did you go to a Christmas show in what year was it? 2022 at Kroger?
I'm glad I did it. I would consider it again, but it's often entangled with some sort of M&G package which, while I can afford, is not something I've done.
I did meet Lindsey very briefly once, but the old fashioned way - waiting 90 minutes outside the tour bus after a show 😂
Yes! Only time she's ever been there. I took my boys. We were way way up in the second balcony but it was all good
Err 2021 I mean
Yeah, I’ve gone to so many I can’t keep track. Someone recently showed me concert archives. So I’ve been using it to keep track of them now. lol. But that’s crazy so we’ve been to three of the same concerts and sounds like we were just one day off for being at our same first concert (I think she did Charlotte just before Raleigh that year?)
My son played violin at the time with an orchestra that did their Spring Concert at the Koger Center. It always got me in the feels to see him on that same stage (he still plays but just school orchestra now)
That's pretty crazy!
I was at the 2019 Warmer in Winter tour but she played a date in Greenville SC that I went to
That’s awesome! My daughter started for bit but quickly decided it was not for her… she can barely sit still for 2 seconds… but she would up inspiring my wife to restart (she played a bit as a kid)
How long has your son been playing? Was he inspired by Lindsey?
I hate it was all the way from 21 to now without seeing her but every tour leg near me would coincide when I was otherwise obligated 😭
He was inspired by a flyer he got in school in 4th grade 😂
4 years. Frankly, he's not very dedicated and doesn't practice as much as he should, but he enjoys it and he doesn't do sports so it's a good activity to be involved in
2019 Xmas it was the charlotte show for us…. BUT I will say these days I try to check on discord and take into account shows other people are going to, not just pick shortest drive. Might drive bit further for a common show, it’s fun to meet up with other discord Stirlingites! I’ll try to remember to hit you up for future tours!
Please do. If I make the Halestorm one, it'll be at Cherokee, but I think I'll miss it probably. I have a lot of obligations in September
On the bright side this may have been a perfect show for you if you are a general violin fan! (For us it’s really Lindsey who got us into violin, was never on my radar before)
Shucks… I was going to ask about that… if you were by chance going to halestorm tour… we were torn between Cherokee and Salem, VA. At the time more people were going to Salem, Va so that’s were we got tix. I think at least 3 others on discord will be there
I'm going to be frank. I wish she'd stop going to Cherokee. They charge like 20% more than average for the tickets
But she keeps booking it so I'm guessing the promoter must be getting a good deal
Cheapest ticket at Salem is $57. Cherokee is $83... for general admission standing.
Now I don't mind GA standing in general but it isn't really my typical Lindsey vibe
That’s awesome! Yea , I agree great activity!! My daughter can’t sit still so for a while we didn’t think she would take it seriously… but she kept asking and I felt I would be remiss of if I didn’t give her a chance… maybe violin would be the thing to get her to stand still, focus, learn perseverance… sadly was NOT her thing. But that’s great your son is enjoys it even if not super dedicated… I suspect it must be great at teaching a lot of things beyond just the violin it self. So easy to give up so 4 years is huge!!
He's very much one to quit things so I'm surprised he stuck with it but happy
I have to agree here… we only went to one and yea the tix seemed crazy expensive !! Also not a huge fan of the windy mountain roads… nerve wracking… lol… Asheville I can take no prob… but getting to Cherokee as it’s getting dark is next level… lol
I've never been to the casino by I've been on the reservation and agree
Aw, that’s really fantastic! It shows perseverance… it’s a hard instrument/steep curve AFAICT… so 4years is commendable ! Does he have a favorite violinist? Sounds like you follow a few 😃
You should come to Salem! (If you want) A few of us will be there https://discord.com/channels/816393875027394642/1366959077657149450
I suspect Lindsey is his favorite but I'll have to ask! I'll see what I can about Salem!
Any songs you recommend we check out first from Taylor? We have some driving to do. Perfect check to check her out!
Oh my gosh my brain is shutting down 🥱😴 , need sleep… it’s been lovely chatting though
wish I could continue tonight, but yea, feel free to tag or reach out to me anytime. (just to know I can be a bit flaky on the discord depending on how busy work is, so if I am MIA, it’s nothing personal lol)
And yeah, if you have any tailor recommendations, definitely let me know!!
Ggod night!
Sadly I have to pass private life messes with me again 😢
Sorry to hear that 😕 Lindsey talked about sending love/positive energy last night. FWIW We will try to send some your way and everyone who wanted to come but couldn’t! 🫶
Thank you
I won't be 😦
Might have been too late to post also, just saw
I saw on Facebook that there was someone that lost the link to the VIP photos. Anyone have that handy?
