My favorite run as Sheriff has me ending up killing 4 different non-geese. By that point, none of the geese believed I was a goose. Although in fairness, this wasn't some crazy amazing play on my part. we had 4 neutrals and 3 ducks so my odds of hitting a non-goose were actually pretty good!

Heh, I had a similar run once, we were on a lobby with 14 players, but sadly I was voted out on my second kill, even when I told everyone I was the sheriff, funnier still my first kill was an assassin, but I was sus of two and chose one and the first one was the assassin, the other one was a falcon. so when I told everyone I was the Sheriff, I had spared everyone of a meeting killer as well myself. But the falcon had killed only once and built a strong alibi

the other two people i was sus of were a vulture and a dodo and if they did not vote me out, those two would have died as well

what frustrates me is occasionally, a goose will fake being dodo for some reason, and, like, stand by obvious sab tasks that aren't also goose tasks. So, I, y'know, shoot them for it. and they get mad because they insist they were trying to fool the ducks into thinking they were dodo "so the ducks won't kill them"

This is something we have considered, but have ultimately decided against. We have taken the stance that if you make a private game, you are responsible for moderating it. The host will have their own rules, and have the responsibility of kicking people who they feel are breaking the rules.
Public lobbies are different in that players don't necessarily know the people in the game they are joining into. Kids might enter a game and can be harassed by others in some corner of the map if proximity chat is on. If someone is being rude or toxic in a meeting, everyone can hear it and can block their mics and block them.

So why don't we just separate servers into kids and 18+? Because a 12 year old can check off a box that says they are 18, and we'd rather prevent the potential abuse and toxicity.

If you want proximity chat, make a private game. If you need players, find a private game in the #lfg channels or make your own.

A premium tier in conjunction with a friends list would definitely be something we would consider

This is something we have considered, but have ultimately decided against. We have taken the stance that if you make a private game, you are responsible for moderating it. The host will have their own rules, and have the responsibility of kicking people who they feel are breaking the rules.
Public lobbies are different in that players don't necessarily know the people in the game they are joining into. Kids might enter a game and can be harassed by others in some corner of the map if proximity chat is on. If someone is being rude or toxic in a meeting, everyone can hear it and can block their mics and block them.

So why don't we just separate servers into kids and 18+? Because a 12 year old can check off a box that says they are 18, and we'd rather prevent the potential abuse and toxicity.

If you want proximity chat, make a private game. If you need players, find a private game in the #lfg channels or make your own.

As soon as it's ready! The gaggle team develop quickly, and we release patches fairly often. We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.

Light and dark are common differentiators in the lobbies. It’s also why cosmetics are often the same/similar colour as feathers. Was it a red player or just part of their cosmetic you saw as you walked by etc etc.

I'd probably start by only enabling one or two Goose roles at first (with a check mark, not a question mark) and after a couple of rounds maybe add another and so on. Possibly same for Duck roles. With only six, I would NOT use Lovers, Vulture, or Pigeon.

The game will restrict the number of Ducks based on lobby size. If you are at 6 it won't allow more than 1 Duck. Discussion and voting timers are largely a matter of preference. I prefer somewhat shorter discussion time with longer voting time, but you can adjust to suit your group preferences.

Yes that might work, some kind of neutral killer like the falcon seems perfect.

Falcon is similar to Jackal from ToR, but Falcon cannot convert a player to join their team. Also, when the Falcon is among the last three living players, a Falcon Hunt emergency begins where there are 30 seconds left to kill the Falcon or else they win.

We don't often give out firm dates because it's either going to be a lie if we're wrong, or it'll be a rushed product that might sacrifice quality for speed. This could translate into releasing something without sufficient testing and creating lots of bugs for the game.

If you find none of that explanation sufficient, as Herbert always says, today we are one day closer than yesterday.
