@keen beacon That's specifically up to the host of that lobby. The laws around what you can do on the internet vary largely country by country. In most places you can pretty much roam free on the internet after 13 and it's really up to the discretion of the parental guardians. In our games, people can kick you for any reason they like. If they don't want you to have an "A" in your name they can make that a rule (not that they would). No one generally enforces these rules for age on the internet but some lobby hosts may be less flexible for letting kids into their lobby if they specifically stated they do not want one. They usually do it to protect themselves so they don't have to feel guilty about slipping with language or explicit behavior in front of kids.

I think my issue is that I'm too far into the Apple ecosystem and I really love the optimisation of pretty much everything. I've jailbroken my phone a few times when I was super young but almost always reverted back once the gimmick factor went away.

I mean, competing Android phones underperform compared to iPhones with almost 150-200% hardware power.

I know it's silly to benchmark phones for the average consumer but I believe Samsung would have better luck initiating an OS of their own so that it could use the hardware they throw into their phones.

If Apple slap the M1 chip into the phones, Android will never compete again for performance most likely. At least for 3-6 years.

I have had 2 iPhones, I buy the oldest still useable one they sell, and they have so far always fixed screen & the few other issues I’ve had free of charge. My iPhone 6 lasted 6 years with very few issues.
I have nothing against Android (had two of them as well, with lots of battery/ alarm clock issues), but I prefer the interface of iOS I guess? 🤔🤷‍♀️

I don't know how Apple did it but their M1 chip on an 8GB RAM machine is performing like a £3,500 MacBook Pro that runs intel.

It's quite incredible how they smacked the hardware performance of a £3.5k machine into something that costs £1k

I'm on the fence about getting one now or waiting until the M1X / 14" + 16" MBP comes out.

Rumour has it the new M1X chip will have more dedicated vram than the rtx 3070/3080.

Kamikaze Duck The Kamikaze Duck has the ability to Kill and Vent like a classic Duck. On their sabotage wristwatch, instead of an Activate Doors Sabotage, they start the round with an already unlocked sabotage called 'Kamikaze’’. When activated, an accelerating beeping audio cue begins, and after 5 seconds, an explosion animation will occur and the Duck will die. Any player within the Duck’s kill radius upon the completion of the 5 seconds will also die. The Kamikaze Duck and all other dead players will leave a corpse as normal.

In proximity chat it opens up the door to have one on one conversations between players that are not heard by the other players. This is conducive to harassment.

Voice chat refers to the ability to talk in the lobby/meetings
Proximity chat refers to the ability to talk within the game (during the round)

In Among Us there is/was a mod that people could install to simulate proximity chat (relying on third party software). The benefit of GGD is everything is built-in to eliminate the barriers and provide an enjoyable experience for all 🙂

Neither vulture or dodo tasks count towards the task bar, though they can have the camera / intercom task, which might affect game play. Doing the tasks (especially if you die) can still randomly drop crafting materials though

If enough people mute a player they will be kicked.

It's also very bad practice to mute someone because now you might be the one talking over them;

This is a game about communication and if we can't communicate to other players to let one another speak we expect that player to get muted by more than a large portion of the lobby. But I understand where you are coming from.

We will add another check and possibly put a warning letting players know that this will permanently mute the player.
