Core idea:

Outnumbered team (1:5 is a good ratio to start with) tries to survive (no respawns) against a larger force (respawns on) on a large map (preferably forest/mountains).

Key considerations:

  • larger force has unlimited resources (ammo, equipment) but limited carry-capacity (has to return to base to restock resources)

  • both teams combat environment (below more)

  • gamemode built as a training ground for Garand Thumb’s “Survival against a large force” videos

Environmental Hazards:

  • weather (visibility, traces)
  • special events (avoid tornado, wildfire, avalanches)
  • wildlife (animal NPCs that attack everyone)
  • hunger, thirst

Special equipment:

  • dogs (can pick up traces, influenced by wind direction, terrain type, rain, etc)
  • infrared cameras
  • drones

I encourage readers of this post to explore the different systems like traces, weather events, thirst and hunger, etc. and come up with posts on these subsystems that have applications in many different other gamemodes

So, the outnumbered team has to survive until a time finishes, I guess? What if the respawning team also had limited lives
