#Aiming sweet spot easing

Pretty cool suggestion
Bump
Makes it too easy tbh
Makes what too easy
Vr aiming is more difficult than irl by nature since we don’t have a stock that accurately distributes weight of the gun.
Irl I can level a gun almost without looking, in vr you have no haptic clue if your gun is aligned
It makes aiming too easy. Aiming in VR is hardly a challenge even with iron sights. The only issue I have with aiming in VR is using long range scopes. Also having autocorrect when aiming in VR would be very annoying since it would attempt to understand a humans movement
it’s the difference between 2 dimensional aiming and 3 dimensional
They’ve shown how your body interacts with the stock so that automatically works
Dude irl with a heavy gun it’s actually pretty hard to aim standing up. VR is 100 times easier
Won’t argue with that. Pretty sure he meant mainly motion smoothing/virtual stock because your hands will shake without the weight
I get virtual stock but I don’t think it should pull the gun towards the body slightly
Same. Like that just ruins immersion
Honestly i can shoot 3 times better in vr than I can on flat-screen currently
same. In vr you have so much control
i honestly dont like this because it dont think i would like the feel of this, but i think this should be a option that is disabled by default
I can shoot 10x better standing in vr than shooting standing IRL
i understand why people would want this however it doesnt seem reasonable for it to be a feature that is enabled by default
No not towards the body, but like a bit towards it being aligned with your eye
Ohhh I see, have any other games implemented this that I can reference to?
Not to my knowledge
Most likely a reason for that
i think because gun stocks exist
Benp
Nah the reason is that things like virtual stocks exist
No one has implemented this probably just because it sounds so bad on paper
But it would counteract the vr nerf that you get naturally
Cuz the controllers are lighter than the gun
Irl, you would have a sense of where your gun is pointing since you can feel weight and torque very exactly
And since gunstocks exist anyways, it just gives them an advantage over vanilla players, since their sights automatically align
Yeah but you’d have to make sure that they actual want to aim at an enemy and the calculations would probably be insane considering the gyroscopic movement of the guns
It doesn’t matter if it aims at an enemy or just a wall
The point is that the sights are aligned
oh as in the gun is more aligned with the handle?
That this is what we look through
Yeah but how would that work. How could you flick up, down, left, right? Also this would require completely locking the entire gyroscopic movement making it 2D
No just ease it towards that position. Not lock it but make it so it tends towards that position
