So the academy for the mod making is because the system is completely different a its a connecting system for the code and for the more advanced people are the programming chips but the connecting thing is the thing you have to learn since its different as i explained there will be a mod maker ingame for anyone to make mods, but you will think "what about the crappy mods made by 9 year olds?" Dont worry there will be admins from the discord hired to look and test the mods so they can be categorized in the market ingame from the bad mods the unreviewed mods or if you think that is a bad idea then the users will do the job by the rating system it will work like the horizon store. And there will be tags from unrated to 5 stars We could cancel the thing of the academy with manuals ingame and i think there should be collabs too that festure is for you to invite others by adding their username to be able to edit the game from pc or in vr directly
#Some ideas i got and a system for mod making and a ingame page for mods

why should the mods have to be bought bruh
this just wont work, modding will NOT need to go through devs (i.e. student modders will either be through a 3rd party or not exist at all). The modding api will be available to all, regardless of the quality of your mod.
It will make the game way more fun if you think about it more there can be custom guns
No he means why would they cost money
Agree with this
@languid knot you didnt even read i meant theres ingame currency you can earn by making mods and every new user has 25 start ingame currency
tbh same good idea of introducing mods but having to buy them for real money or as you word it, money that can be earned when people download your mods. seems like its from fallout and tbh i dislike. mods should be public and shared among the community not locked behide a pay wall
you want to pay for mods on a game about modding?
I mean we are talking about that the mod creator can make the mod free if they want and no the currency cant be bought
no I said i disagree with it?
DUDE THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE TO NOT ADD A LIMIT FOR SUGGESTIONS AS TEXT
Why
I actually explained but it cut the text
I wish I could sugarcoat it but damn this is straight up a bad idea.
Why did i take 1 whole day thinking of the ideas WHEN I WOULD HAVE TO CUT HALF OF IT AND NOW IT LOOKS LIKE A BAD IDEA
naaah fam in yesterday night I chatted a little bit with guys in chat and most of us think that it will be basically a gmod but in vr, that would be not good Idea even with in game currency, the modding as I supppose will be free to use and there will be ton of mods and if you have to pay for most of them then players will be just unsatisfied. There is always possibility as in other games in desktop to be a modder for money, if you have an Idea suggest it or just pay someone that can create it 😋
why would you need to purchase mods? very stupid idea tbh, imagine not knowing there’s a currency and “buying” 2 useless mods on accident, and then also not having a PC/laptop to create mods on
"buying cosmetics" hell no, the game will cost like 40 dollars already we do not need microtransactions
“modding academy” honestly wtf even is this idea
also what do you even mean by “python chips” and “python code”? literally not how it works and not exactly possible in ue5 last time i checked
Its so people learn the code
it's also called "watching tutorials and dm'ing people for help"
we do not need another ghost of tabor
erhm i play tabor and i bought a dlc 🤓 ☝️
/j
their gonna try to copy tarkovs thing where you get more health if you pay
not a good idea
this is genuinely one of the most unnecessary and dumb suggestions ive ever seen lmao. why limit mods to only people with technical skill?
not everyone even has the technology to be able to mod let alone the skill knowledge or time to do it. be so fr
no? you can buy armor and gun packs but not hp??
I dont think yall get it
no with real life money in tarkov
I'll explain it again but in full terms bc i couldnt put the whole thing

Wheres the part with in-game currency buying mods.
I know its a bad idea so its cancelled now
👍 it was a bad idea
Could have community voting too so the moderators don’t have to always be looking at every single mod
Yeah i think the ideas are mods and comunity rating good
ngl mod.io is weird when downloading from in app with ready or not i just download manually because it keeps corrupting the files and with bonelab we dont even talk about that
So what do yall think of the renovated idea?
It good. Theres dog thinks so tooo
the devs said that there would be an SDK (probably inside of UE5) so i doubt the visual scripting thing will ever be considered
other than that the manual rating seems cool but is also tedious, imagine if you wanted to upload a mod during the holidays but the mods were all offline
short answer: "eh slightly better idea but still mid"
thats why imo it needs a custom website or something cause mod.io is horrendous with moderation
true
You sound like a excellent bethesda employee
The reason the modding scene is so huge on pc because it's not as heavily moderated as the one on consoles or in game mod hubs.
This means everyone can upload mods which is the whole point of modding really.
I don't see why they should need to be moderated
The only reasons would be
A) stuff against TOS which is already covered by a report button
B) malware which should be capable of beeing managed by a inbuilt malware scan
a good example is mod.io for bonelab which has a shit ton of things that barely work or are just low effort memes or trolls
you could just... not download them y'know
yea but its still something thats unnecessary, if you look at nexusmods their mods are almost always really good quality and its likely due to being well moderated
just... filter from highest rated to lowest rated
theres a lot of shit on the steam workshop too and yet it works and doesn't need moderation. There is no reason to have a indie dev have to moderate a modding site because it's user are incapable of using a godamn filter or sorting function
and what if you just wanted to sort by newest lmao
well then you gotta ignore some of the stupid shit. But why would anyone in their right mind search for newest?
because they already have most of the mods they are interested in that are top and want to see whats newly added?
in the end the question is if having only "high quality" mods is worth the effort and loss of all those small funny mods you find once in a while when looking through a modding site
sort by best and scroll lower? Or just sort by best and set it to "one week" or "one month"
the difference is there isnt anything small or funny about dumb mods that have no proper images or have a bunch of comments saying it barely works or they don't understand how to make anything quality in general
I was not talking about those
I was talking about those small stupid sound mods or shit that you install use for a couple minutes and forget about.
I generally hate these restrictive overly controlled enviroments but thats just my opinion
yea that's different to a mod that's low effort it's just a joke mod
the point is that those would be removed too
