Almost every game that has buyable cosmetics makes money like how Roblox makes a profit of items and emotes . I kinda get why onix did this but the other path in making cosmetics has proven that makes way more money and builds a bigger community surrounding the client

the reason why most of them are free is because you want to get as many eyeballs on the game as possible

your actual profit comes from the 5% of players who spend money on the game

which doesn't seem like much on the surface but imagine if the 200k people in this server were using the client

and like a quarter of them have at least bought a 2 dollar cape

the 5% of that quarter would be printing money

as the team releases new cosmetics

Plus the buy rates are a LOT lower than that, below 1% and realistically they’re already paying for onix premium

Buying a bedrock client cosmetic is just dumb, thats money sent down the void in my opinion

The cosmetic system could just be broken by a game update forever or data gets lost or the fact that maybe 4 people would be able to see that cosmetic
