I don't think so. Weapons are something special and players pay real money to get them. If they became free, they would lose their value

When everyone has free golden suits and weapons, their value will disappear. It will not be special to get one, it will become something ordinary. When you see a kill message in the game, you get excited and think that there is a strong player, but when everyone has it lose her prestige

I don't want to see this event with upgradable guns

Getting guns and suit for free isn't a downside
They make players grind in game to obtain the upgradables
Thus why their upgradable tokens aren't sold
You have to grind and conquer again every season to max your upgradable

It's a win win situation
But now it's less effective on krafton side

I don't think so , guns are a crucial part of a game and when u see a guy with legendary guns it's a feeling that he got it with chicken medals or nc after spending a lot ( most times they spend a lot only sometimes luck works ) , if they just give out guns for free the importance of those legendary guns would vanish.

The event isn't as easy as just logging in and playing one match
Constant grinding is required
I have seen many of my friends were unable to claim the free x suit though they were really active
So only the people who really grind would get the gun
And the players who might have missed the earlier event can join again for this event to claim the gun
Players are really attracted to the guns

The only thing that matters is
Gathering numerous players
By giving away numerous tokens with absolute no marketing no players are gonna be attracted
They are just pleasing the audience who are still playing the game

And the new players who joins gets tremendous amount of chicken medals hence they are able to obtain 1 gun

Codm once recently offered one legendary m4 gun it didn't lose so much value and was something special I like it

Because there you would to earn through cash grab and some events it's hard to earn the material but that's not the case in new state you have to play and have chance to earn materials

Since last three years i have tread numerous method's to get gun like i would have spended 6000-7000 still didn't get it
From March 2023 I have been saving chicken medals right now I have 2100 ( from this year I had alot of less opportunity to gather more chicken medals otherwise it would be 3000 cm
Still people like me aren't getting after playing and trying alot

You can open 500 crates of vector crate and get the vector easily if you want to now if you have 2100 medals
