When you shoot so many rounds of gun, it is normal to heat up. And when heat up, if theres ammo loaded inside the chamber, it might cook off and which is why we are trained to not to point out a gun to our friendlies.
And due to many factors, gun might get jammed too. Parts positioning, not taking care of gun for a while, defects.

So the thing here is that this is realism shooting game. And involving these kinds of mechanics will make the game look different. And since people are actually wanting more realistic graphics and realistic games, (vr, ue5) I think it would be great for this game to have that opportunity. (Forget people asking for lower graphics since some are actually asking for ue5 to lower its quality to run at low spec pc.)

Its called tactics. And thats why i said in many different guns and how they interact with, chances are random. Not whole tarcov stuff where the guns almost keep on jamming. Im talking about realism next gen mechanics.

OP has a good idea but I'm not sure it will work. You know, at least there should be a reason for selecting UMP45 over Tommy gun. For example in real life it is cheaper and more reliable.... but non of these exist inside game. It is good but not sure 😕 🤔.

Jams can happen with many different factor. And the guns that are just left behind in the maps functioning normal is just fun to watch.

So when you reload gun from no ammo, lets say your mag have 30 rounds. When you load mag and slide or pull your gun, the mag has 29 rounds and in chamber there 1 rounds. And if you reload again, since theres one round in chamber, you get total 31 rounds. (1 chamber and 30 mag)
