in PUBG maps increase (Vikendi 8×8), while in New State they only decrease (Akinta 3×3).

Because they didn't utilise the 3x3 playable area properly instead they might have used terrain generators to spam empty flat lands all over the map with same compounds, except couple of interesting and unique POIs

Sanhok is 4x4 too and still to this day, every match on that map is full of surprise and immersion
