Chapter 1
|| Same characters again! And it makes sense that our boy Evan got himself some PTSD (I am just assuming this is a dream). Makes so much sense after everything he witnessed. Curious to see how all that will play out. Since the books I read so far from the Goosebumps series (The Blob that ate everyone, Welcome to Dead House, and Stay Out of the Basement) were all one-shots. At least I think so. So I really wonder if we get to see what the events in Monster Blood I did to Evans psyche. Or if that is something this book wont touch on. ||

|| urgh I had hoped that Evan would find some new friends in Atlanta after all the shit he experienced, but no, bullies again. Poor Evan.
And again the theme of "I made a huge mistake, now I have to live with the consequences". Losing this Hamster sounds so scary. idk it made me think of the times when I was holding a friends' baby and everything I could think about was "dont drop it dont drop it dont drop it"||

|| what kind of steroid monster IS Conan???? Stuffing Evan into the basket? Is he like 5m tall? Lifting a 12 year old into a 2-3m high basket so that even the teacher can not get him down? Conan doesnt have the physique of a 32-year old, he has the physique of Thor I guess :D||

|| the real horrors are bullying and PTBS I guess

but honestly, Conan was the real horror of this book. Though a massive hamster that wants to eat you sounds creepy, too.
The way everything was fine in the end because of an expiration date was kinda funny. Who produces this stuff?
And honestly, what is going on with Andy? With all the events of Book 1, and now the events of Book 2, why tf is she excited about a new can of Monster Blood?? Evan almost died, another guy was almost eaten in front of her eyes, and now that? Maybe dont be happy about that 🙈

overall: I think I liked that, too. Extremely infuriating characters with Conan and Mr. Murphy, but (sadly) realistic for a lot of kids. ||

I finished, I’m ngl I was a bit annoyed with this book. I have a hamster so ||the idea of purposely making it gigantic just to get to somebody, who I agree is horrible btw, just pissed me off. I also don’t understand why Evan would tell the other kids about the blood but that’s just children things I guess.||

Entire book
||I find it interesting that so much de ail is spend on describing all of Andy's outfits. I know she is known for the bright colors, but not sure if this is needed or just an unnecessary detail.||

||Not sure why Andy is so thrilled with monster blood after all they have been through with the stuff. And to have more?!
Overall, I liked this well enough. But, the bullying from Conan and the teacher was rough. I also wasn't a fan of the animal cruelty against Cuddles. He didn't deserve that. Hopefully he is treated better now that he's Evan's.||

|| Another fun and short read! I am enjoying Goosebumps books! Yess I know it's a bit too late for spooky szn but why not! The first one is more scary than this one maybe because I already know what it do. But I enjoyed this one too! I want to see what a hamster that looks like a rabbit looks! Lmao and the ending will definitely read the next one ||

I actually finished this.

||I really didn't like this. I think it was a mix of the school setting and no one liking Evan AT ALL (this just feels really unrealistic). And I think Conan just really put me off. He is such a stereotypical school bully i just couldn't. it was too cringe for me. Also like the other monster blood book, the animals being in danger is really upsetting to me. At least the first one had a weird twist ending. This one just did not hit for me.||

Conan’s gotta be one of the worst bullies in the series.

If you bury the monster blood, you run into the same problem that it can leech into the environment. And also bugs could eat it.||

Finished! ||I thought there would be more Monster Blood Consumption than there was, and i think the “finding the expiration date at the last minute” was cheap because wouldn’t they have seen one on the can in the first book when looking for the ingredients???||
