Bookmark bot

Any ideas for getting a new bookmark bot? The current one has been down for a few weeks at least, I believe. The bot really helps me keep track of my buddy reads because I can bookmark the announcements and be able to find them quickly. I can move to a different method if needed, but wanted to see if there was any plan to replace it if it doesn’t come back

I checked in another server that uses the same bot and it’s also not working there either

I am all for getting a new bot, if anyone has any recs, pass em over. If not, I'll look around for one sometime within the next week

Discord updated its policies and they aren't allowing verified bots to read all messages and reactions. It is difficult to find such a bot. I think the only solution is to build a bot ourselves or integrate the functionality with Gregg since it is not a verified bot and is only for this server.

Only for the new messages after the bot is added.. bot can be potentially flagged by Discord anti-spam filter if users report the DMs as spam..

I was planning on adding the bookmark functionality in Gregg v3 but I'm not working very actively on it so its better if some other bot can fulfill the need meanwhile

I have some code for YAG for a bookmark if interested. Did this bookmark addition get added to Gregg?

Perhaps for Gregg v3, which is still under construction

It seems that the (second ) bookmark bot is gone, so I guess we need to find another one LOL

I haven’t been using it. I didn’t really like that it didn’t give message previews, just a link. Like I could do that

This is what the YAG one looks like after adding the custom command code. Maybe someone a bit better with code can figure out how to add a remove bookmark button to it.

Contents at the bottom show the message content but I just used “Test”.
