On the subject of Blizzards survival game, I highly doubt it’ll look anything like Palia and it’s not gonna be a ‘cozy’ game.

There’s plenty fantasy survival coming out lately, Nightengale is one

However, I do like Palia’s style …mostly.
It still feels kinda Blizzard-like to me and with reason since some employees of S6 are from Blizzard.

I dont think wow is a bad game, the company has been going through a lot and we cant expect people to give their best when theyre being harassed.
Which in turn gave things a real bad feeling.
I’m hoping their next expansion will be better. There’s leaked conversations now that a previous writer wrote all that stuff pre-Shadowland and everyone is picking up the pieces trying to fix it.

Wow was not a game I would normally play ( I generally don't play combat games ) but my boyfriend wanted to and games were the only way we could play together due to the long distance. Once we broke up and the guild fell apart there was just a handful of us who slowly stopped playing the game. I had no reason to play after that

Oh let me tell you about my year so far

New Years Eve: Electrical surge, half my kitchen electricity stopped. The wire in the breaker box burned up and it was well below freezing outside. About 15*F
New Years Day: Find out the surge broke my fridge and we went a week without one until the new one was delivered.
Also New Years weekend: It was so cold the pipe in the second bathrroom decided to burst.

Then I got sick by dehydration from vitamins I was taking and the day I was finally better is when my account was stolen.

@proper brook Based on my experience, to be the most happy just find 2-4 friends that you consider close and make a private server just for them, and you. And keep only inviting people you consider close and very safe to be around.

If you would like to grow a server and have a lot of new members regardless, I would suggest making the theme, title & picture to be something popular that you are excited about. And then promote it around those online communities - reddit, fb groups, things like that.

@wary dune I think what Brook means is the same number on each side .. depending on the font there may not be a way of making them line up exactly and have the same number of dashes on each side of the text. Most fonts aren't equal spaced letters so I's take alot less space than W's, which looks like the font they are using. Can people choose fonts or do Discord have that part fixed for uniformity. Yeah that's what I replied about, there aren't the same number on each side. Some of them have 2 dashes each side, some of them have 3 dashes each side, some of them have 4 dashes each side already. Letter spacing will be different, yeah, but a - is the same length as it's the same font. So you can see "welcome to palia" and "community corner" both have -- (2 dashes) each side. "Info and updates" had a longer dash line than that already, it is --- (3 dashes). "Palia chat" and "ask the team" both have an even longer dash line already ---- (4 dashes).

They're not currently all the same amount of dashes, so adding a couple extra to the ones which are shorter due to letter spacing would be an easy fix.

Even with letter spacing making it a tiny bit different, the difference between "community corner" atm and "palia chat" could be made way closer with more dashes on the latter

That's all I was trying to suggest. Add more dashes to the shorter ones, there's a lot of space so that would help

I doubt there is really. Maybe some final adventure/quest at the end of the chapter …. Maybe providing a cliff hanger like ending that some books have to keep you reading and then on to the next adventure/chapter. Outside of that I doubt there is an end game as skilling goes until you’re maxed if there is a max level, community created activities probably won’t differ to those previous…. Maybe a big party to celebrate. Hard to say.

I'm at the stage in trying to be better at singing where I know how I want to sound, but I don't quite sound that way yet.

Personally, I do have a vocal coach, but that's only because I want to become a pro.
You can practice by yourself, no worries! For example, there are all sorts of exercises on youtube to try out (I'm not a professional or anything, but I think looking for "vocal warmups" usually brings up some helpful videos you can just sing along with)

There's all sorts of things you're meant to do that help you sing better, but off the top of my head:

• Stand up straight! Your feet should be shoulder-width apart.
• Relax your body! And your neck.
• Breathe with your belly, not your chest. It's kinda hard to picture this, so one way my teacher told me was to just imagine you're breathing into your butt. Which sounds incredibly silly, yes, but it gets the job done.

I don't know if there's much you can do about the performance anxiety, but the way singing goes is to just do it again and again. If you're scared about singing in front of people, sing in the shower, or in your room, or while the laundry's making a racket anyway. And once you feel confident enough, maybe you'll be able to sing in front of other people?

Of course, take this all with a grain of salt. I'm not a professional voice coach - I'm just a student, and I'm sure I'm skipping a lot of things. But I hope at least some of this is helpful to you.

It's both expensive and directly translates to in-game power scaling. The end-game dungeons/raids are gated by certain power levels of your character. So you can pay actual money to make your character stronger and have better stats and get access to things players who don't pay money for can't get to yet.

There are things that can be acquired in both ways, and others that you can't. Item inventory, for example. You can only permanently increase it by paying money. Gearscore (the power level I was referring to) can be straight up purchased for money. Yes, technically free to play players can increase their gearscore for free, but it takes a not-insignificant amount of time to do so. And, frankly, if end-game content is what you enjoy and want to do and want to do it first (the race for world-first is a time honored tradition among MMO raiders), you'll be paying money to do it or you won't be doing it at all.

Technically Lost Ark can say the same thing Palia can. Nothing in the pay shop technically keeps those unwilling to pay money from getting htose same things. They just have to invest a lot more time and inconvenience to get them.

For the developer, it makes sense in the short term. THey get more money quicker. But from the F2P players perspective, that inbalance is going to suck. And over time it's going to sour their feelings towards the game more and more. Because they'll put in so much effort in comparison and constantly feel left behind or unrewarded.
