@median brook The whole story about the suit is interesting, when you really look at it. The contract Apple claimed that Epic had breached, dealt with how much money Epic were to pay Apple for each sale through the Apple store.

Problem at the time was, that the big seller was fortnite, and all purchases for that game were directed to the Epic Store, not the Apple Store.

Apple argued that was a direct breach of the contract, and blocked any and all purchases toward Epic. Even going so far as to remove any Epic game from the Apple Store.

Normally, they just let their waste water sit in evaporation ponds. That was fine until the EPA took notice. I mean, how could they not? When a duck dies within minutes of landing in the 'water' of the pond... you'd think they'd realize something bad was going on.

The water had a very high concentration of sulfuric acid. It had been used in the processing of mineral ore to leech out the metals from the ore itself.

As it came out of the process, it really wasn't that strong. Just a minor irritant. Once it sat in the pond for a while though, it concentrated.

They didn't like my solution, and sent me packing.

My solution was to pack it off in tankers, and send it to a company to sequester it as industrial waste.

I’m guessing they were hoping for a way to recycle or neutralize it. Chemistry was my worst subject in school. I actually developed stress-induced narcolepsy because of chemistry class. Definitely not my field 😅
