Native animated shows do a much better job at dubbing as it's the original language

Like Castlevania has a great cast of voice actors but then there's dubs where it sounds like you're watching a cringey cartoon for kids

Like simply put Japanese is a more verbally expressive language than English, they don't have as much contextual language and grammar as we do so they use their voices to express it rather than the words. There's like 20 different ways to conjugate a single verb so that it means different things whereas we have 20 different verbs for each conjugation /meaning
