Oh, ok so how servers work is super weird
You can join the same crews as your friends (up to 4 ppl) but the servers have like a few other ships on them (5 I thinks) and if you wanna be on the same server as a specific other ship, that might be a hassle
Usually what discords do is that they'll do a takeover
Where you approach other ships actively and go like
"Hey, can we take your ship if you're done for the day? One of our crew mates will add you on Xbox and join the crew and we'll take the ship"
But that is convoluted and annoying and I don't personally deal with that
I go on a sloop with one other friend and go look for buried treasure and fish
