Funny story.

My university's campus is actually really well known for all of the squirrels that we have on campus, because since it's so big and most of it's outside, there's a bunch of student walking around through woods where there's squirrels and such.

The squirrels actually went through so many generations of people that they became domesticated and squirrels would actually come and take food from your hand, they would just come right up to you.

So it was a big shock for me because I had went my whole life watching squirrels run away if I came even a few feet from them, and then these squirrels, I would have to look where I was walking so I didn't step on them.

It's something I struggle with for sure so I can totally understand why someone might think fighting was going on.

I'm actually autistic so I have a really tough time picking up on someone's tone of voice. Like, with some people, you can tell how they feel by the way their voice sounds. I cannot do that.

So sometimes I don't pick up through text the underlying meaning of what someone actually means. And it's hard to do that anyways because words are just words.

I think people have picked fights with me on here (Discord) and I just responded normally as I had no idea they had rude or malicious intent.

I'm someone who is queer, and my dad is well over 60 and a bit more on the conservative side, so he and I did not always see eye to eye as well.

I still love my parents, though. They don't understand a ton about me, but they love me and accept me and sometimes that's all you need.

You don't have to understand everyone you come across but you should at least make an attempt to accept and love them given their intentions aren't bad/evil.

Bees and wasps are actually relatively docile if you can find them outside a nest and don't threaten them.

I've found that they don't tend to bite or sting if you aren't bothering them in or around their nest because then they don't really have anything to defend or protect. I've seen people, mainly entomologists, scientists who study insects as a profession, go up to wasps and pick them up without being stung or bit.

My partner and I were just talking about getting a cat. I actually have a notebook full of cute/cool names for cats with disabilities because we want to adopt a cat that maybe a lot of other people would not want (a cat with 3 legs, a cat who can't hear, a cat that's old, a cat who is blind) and we would really hate to see one like that put down, and we know the other "normal" cats would eventually be adopted so we would want to be the ones who take one nobody else will.

If I were to get a 3-legged cat, I would name them Flipflop because I came up with that one and always thought it would be a super name for a cat like that. If you like that name, feel free to use it.

I've found that with a lot of MMORPGs, your role in combat plays a big role.

I am someone who plays a lot of tank characters. I like being the guy with a giant shield and sword, the person who has a stupid amount of health and can withstand a lot. Because of that, and because fewer people are playing tanks and healers, I find myself getting into raids and dungeons substantially faster than my friends who DPS and I find myself invited to more communities revolving around the game. I am more engaged with the content than other players.

Honestly, yes. I have more to add to this.

I've also realized that the community in WoW actively makes it more difficult to learn how to play the game. I started the game really late and when I got into a dungeon for the first time, someone called me out for something I did but didn't bother to explain what I was doing wrong.

Like, people in really early dungeons will talk to/treat you like you're a moron when you're just trying to learn. And it sucks, because they're literally hurting themselves and they don't care, because you can't play an MMORPG without players. Then it's just an RPG, and depending on how dependent the game is on its players, maybe not a game at all.

See it's actually really funny you bring that up, Space, because I can't stand the boosts that they've had.

New players just boost their characters and from what I've seen, the gear that they give you when they boost is usually worse than the gear you would have gotten if you would have just played the game normally and raided and went through dungeons, etc.

So it's funny that you spend money for the boost and then end up worse off if you would have just played the game.

And when you boost? You don't actually learn how to play your class, and you just skip to end game content you aren't prepared for as a player anyways. You have no fundamental knowledge of the game you're playing.

Boosts are genuinely bad.
