So, several years back, round early 2010s, there was this lovely mobile game called "Fantasica". It was an average gacha game with Tower Defense mechanics. I was decent at it, but my friend and I together were able to get through a majority of what the game would throw at us, and I had played long enough that I had some super powerful allies with super powerful units. The whole point was to collect various cool, cute, and/or adorable units and defend against wave after wave of various fantastical creatures, leveling and ranking up your units as you went along.

One day, the devs released a new event. It was a large floor-based tower event that had ~100+ floors to it and some good units attached to it. There was a decent amount of hype around those units and this was considered rather difficult, so I decided to try my hand at it. Got decently far into the tower with the units I had. Until one very specific floor.

It was a simple, one entrance, one exit level. You fought against 50 cait siths and 1 singuler unicorn. The cait siths were quick units with decent hp, but the units I had did not have much of a problem dealing with them.

The caveat: you fail the floor if even one unit gets by.

That one unicorn didn't want to die.

No unit setup of mine worked. No unit setup my friend tried to help me worked. I got units from my allies that were way stronger than anything I had, and that one stupid EXPLITIVE unicorn just WOULD NOT DIE. It always lived with literally one HP.

I have hated unicorns with an passion ever since.

And that is my super dumb story. 🙂
