I remember when spending time in a game felt rewarding, now days most games have so many catch up mechanics that spending more time in a game then others means nothing. Genshin is a bane on genre, If that terrible monetization starts creeping up everywhere else I'll probably be done with online games. The amount of money you have to spend if you desire to do proper content in that game such as dungeons is ridicules. costed something like 20,000 a month just for the max amount of action refills so you can do dungeons.

Genshin is a pretty standard gatcha mmo tho? Those types of games are super common and popular in Eastern Asia. I've met people who are F2P on Genshin and waaaay better than me :0

The thing about MMOs is that people sort've get locked into a single mindset on what it means to be an MMO. Some people think that it's about a leveling experience or the gear. Personally, I think an MMO is about being a Massively Multiplayer Online game. That's just me, though.

And the resin system isn't really all that bad either, since early game gives you lots of stuff to do and the ability to do it. Events are why people keep coming back, and with story stuff per update, that's really the point

China and Korea tend to have a philosophy of limiting game times because they value having patience and control. Hence why a lot of KMMOs have a stamina system, moreso the f2p ones

I personally really really love Genshin, I find it fun, and it's a challenge on me as a person because it's not grindy in the traditional sense, but still requires patience and an understanding of the systems it has. It definitely has it's flaws, but I don't think calling it a stain on the genre is fair at all when you look at the genre it is

Its a gatcha game first, and an MMO second. And it's one of the more fair and fun gatcha games out there. Sure, the banner system peeves a lot of people off, but a lot of people find it fun!

In most cases and dependant on the country for an NDA to be legally binding for a minor it has to be legitimised by their guardian. Otherwise yes it can be voided at whim by the minor unless as stated they become of age and then the contract may not be voided.

There is some you simply can't really attend to very well in a mmo. Accessibility to people with extreme social anxiety disorders is probably difficult in a social game.

I hear you there Kae, I used to be able to play WoW better the community used to feel better. I think ideally that is the way it would work, but in reality it doesn't. I mean when you can guarantee success if you take someone that you don't have to spend time with because they are for any given reason less effecient then another player. It's easier to just drop that person and grab someone else then it is to help them grow. Because the pressure is there to win. But in co-op you can work with people who are not as good rather it's because they are disabled or some other reason without the high pressure of competition forcing you to judge thier actions and consider replacement.
