i been playing for over a year now, and slowly stopped playing despite palia being my favorite game. i’m very understanding that it’s a game still being developed but at the beginning, they were making new quests/content like every month and now it’s just new furniture and cosmetics. i’m also a switch player and the quality on switch has decreased overtime

im not the person you directly asked, but personally I downloaded the gane because I thought there was a community within the game that meant something and I though that's what the game was based on because that's kind of how it was marketed, at least in the switch store. I initially thought you could have a plot with your friends where you were all able to build. I thought that the party system would be more rewarding. I though the progression in the game would go farther than level 20 when they have guild items for hundreds of coins. I though the weekly challenges would be more community oriented, but I do all of them but like one without talking to a single player. Idk I just thought the point of the game was to build a community with players and NPCs but it feels like everything is a competition to have the biggest house, most tickets, most votes, etc.

But, long term, I want to see a return to the core values this game was constructed on. No FOMO. No gameplay locked behind a paywall. Feedback prioitised. Repairs prioritised. Accessibility features. We were promised many things in the years before this baby made it to beta. Things that were not suggestions or considerations. They were promises. This team set out to be different, and we have happily made adjustments along the way when it comes to what Palia is capable of delivering. The community has made valuable contributions to the development of this game. We have been invested for a long time, and I don't mean financially. That came later.

From S6 I was expecting open communication, them taking accessibility seriously, taking player feedback into consideration, etc.

Within the game itself? More body types (I think they said that was supposed to be a thing?) players taking care of animals which I also think they mentioned, for bugs to be worked on, more content in general but also higher NPC levels, less of a focus on plushies and cosmetics. There’s more but that’s what I can remember right now

I'm playing the way I have to. And i already have one demanding job.

For comparison WoW's cosmetic cash shop total is 1410$. Sims 4 with every single DLC is 1235$. PoE 1 is at similar player levels and runs over 6000$ for it's cosmetics over it's run time since 2013 while also being a F2P game.

PoE has an active player count between 50k and 100k with is similar to Palia's active player count ( hourly ).

I do not like that the cosmetic cash shop is at the half-way point for Palia ( of PoE's ) since it's Steam release of 2024.

PoE 1 also let's people get free cosmetics even if they are hard to earn. Looking at all of this plus the VFX stuff it's highly discouraging. I say this as someone who has bought several things from Palia's cosmetic store and want the game to succeed. Especially for people who are purely F2P.

So thats GOOD.
And I can kind of get behind adding some premium stickers, on conditions. 1) They're funny sayings, not something that actually will help with communication. 2) The premium stickers aren't connected to any achievements (which as far as we know rn, they may not be).

However, since we can see that the title of one of the premium stickers is "Sorry," which is something needed in common communication, S6 appears to not have thought of these points.
