I think they are meaning the limitations that the switch has-- the plot limits, for example. Not actual graphical settings like the textures/foilage, etc. The fact that S6 has to consider the switch's hardware for stuff before adding things, etc.

Oh! I don't play as much as others do, It's usually just 4h per day or so. Rarely more. Gardening doesn't take long, just a few minutes when I log in it's the 1st thing I do, and get arround 20/30k every irl if I manage to play more it's more than that as I will replant the garden 1/2 extra times.

Nintendo's likely to only cut switch support when people stop buying switches, switch games, and stuff. But right now the Switch userbase is still really huge, switch games are still being made and selling well and I think Nintendo will actually support Switch for the medium term rather than short term

I have an extra empty plot, but I know I’ll probably want a sixth or seventh, at least, with all the decor ideas in my head. Having 200k gold is still a decent amount. I’m just glad I’m not struggling like I was during the first Maji Market. It was my first time having over 10k gold. I attended a cake party, and had 30k-40k, and thought I was rich! 🤣🤣

They aren't selling DS systems and DS games anymore, but they did hold onto the 3DS eShop for quite some time and only shut down Internet servers thus year. Still, the Switch is much bigger than the 3DS and has massive third party support unlike any other Nintendo console previously

Now that there's a feature / competition with rewards and incentives to make your plot look unique and beautiful... To me, it very much goes against what S6 said originally about purchases not giving you any kind of in-game advantage.

I'm sure this has already been discussed, but I'm upset that they didn't fix the plot tours and just made them worse. I'm already so burned out from trying to get to 200, and it feels more grindy then fun. People are fake voting and there's conflict, and it doesn't feel like a cozy system anymore. Instead of finding ways to improve it, they just say "here, you now need more votes"

The entire voting system should be random. You shouldn't be able to go to specific houses to rate them... There's already the incentive to vote, so just let people do their ten random plots, let the system allocate visits as evenly as possible, and go from there.

The only way though right now to get votes is to spam advertise unless you are one of the lucky few that gets thousand of votes. Most of the updates lately have been cosmetic and no real content. yes, i like making areas feel lived in. I will say, when i make garden/floral areas in (most) games, it is definitely very cluttered in the sense of, things are very close together. but normally, you can walk through those. It definitely depends & has a fine line imo for me.

The building limit is because of the tech limitations of the switch, it's also why the switch doesn't have all the fancy foliage that pc does

I think my main house is average size, same with my grand house. I also have a layout that’s practical of a real home. From H mode, the large symmetrical homes look pleasing, but the layout isn’t coherent to me, and it’s just rooms leading into rooms, leading into more rooms. It doesn’t feel like a home.

That’s so valid! I just use darker flooring. In my grand house, the kitchen is a cream tile, and it works, but everything else is dark. Even the kitchen on my main plot has the darker Library parquet flooring, or whatever it’s called.

I'm with you there! My go to for warmer but still cream colored and thus a bit more "open" feeling is the emberborn floor. But the tiles are usually kept to kitchens, pavilions, gazebos, and sun rooms!

I did an entire entrance area around my shipping bin and mailbox on the grand house plot: Chateau de Ivy. When I load into the plot from Bahari/Kilima or from logging in, I’m in front of everything. When I load in from switching from another plot, I’m stuck in one of the lamp posts, and it’s too much effort to fix it. 🤣 It’s a large area, that is heavily decorated.

In game, I use the black/copper tile manor flooring a lot. I switched my onyx walls to the Umbreal walls because it’s darker.

Oh if you like dark themes but want some pattern to add to it, that Noble Bloom wallpaper has a nice dark vibes with lighter flowers- can be used nicely with dark furniture sets!

I’m sure they read it but I would say with how small their team size is now priorities and projects likely get shifted. I’m just at a point where I’ll take in each update as it is. If there’s no progress with this acquisition (I think some grace with time is ok) that’s where I’ll probably start to feel a little off put.

If that’s the one with the white/grey floral patterns on the black, I have that in my restaurant. On its own, it’s okay, but it can clash easily with furniture. I wish we could colour the building blocks.

Also, to be quite honest, considering that they like to do puns... they might not of been meaning it in that regard, but moreso the fact that it can also just mean "extreme scarcity of food" and "shortage" ... they at least knew it was food-related.

It is very possible that they just meant the shortage side of things, but... yeah. I don't think they meant in relation to the other stuff, if that makes sense.

I've used it in American Truck Simulator for controlling looking around in the truck cabin based on my eye movement, using a cheap webcam. Not sure about the exact process that I went through to get it set up, but I currently have one main account that I can access either from my laptop or my Switch. I currently have my main account tied to a Steam-based installation of Palia on my laptop. That is tied to a single account. But I also have a non-Steam Palia installation on the laptop, which I can use to log into any secondary Palia accounts.

The Steam bit isn't essential, but updates are much less crappy on Steam than using the pure Palia update system.
