Perhaps something like this.
Afraid you'll need one water/weed fert each day (you can buy a bunch and spam it on the tile) though

Thank you, I will be using this then! And what do you mean with spam fert on the tile? Which tile? Which fert? I am so sorry I'm such a newbie at this T.T
Also, I am building this on my default home plot. But I got the snowy landscape and as I make money I want to move everything there. Would it be possible to pick up the garden as is and plop it down on the new home plot or would I have to buy 9 new soil or do I have to wait until everything is harvested and then pick up the empty soil? and thank you so much I truly appreciate all the help! ♥
U forgot to account for pixies low level
You can only have 9 soils total, not per plot. You will need to wait for the soil to be untilled (takes 48h from when it was last tilled)
The tiles that have the weed block fertiliser icon or hydro pro fertiliser icon in the picture - both are next to the apple tree
No, I just don't rate Quality Up as being that useful unless less than level 10 or so. They'll also level up more, making QU even less useful. And it's easier to just have one layout that is good now and later. I didn't bother with Quality Up at all on my Ranching-tester alt
They're only level 9 now, but I'm mentioning apples because they will get access to it in 1 level time and they'll want apples for various things.
I'm only about 20% away from lvl 10 :)
And by 48hrs do you mean real life hours or two in game days? Maybe I will leave my home plot as is with all my crafters and stuff. Would make sense to make money on it to slowly build up my snowy dream home on the 2nd plot and then maybe eventually move the crafter things and soils onto that one IF there is room left :3
And once more, thank you so much for all the help. I am so happy I found this game it tickles ALL my fancies haha, so I am here to stay and I love how helpful this community is both in game and on discord. I'm such a happy camper you have no idea!
2 irl days
Glad you're enjoying yourself though!
anyone has good layout for current most used crops for garden
Hello everyone! So I’m currently using preserve jars but I have no idea what main produce I should use. Can anyone tell me what the best produce is to sell for a lot of money compared to like other produce?
I’m also only level 8
I'm general, best to process everything from your garden.
Not everything is best preserved though.
Bok Choy, Potatoes, Rice, Wheat, Beans and Cotton are best seeded.
However, this is in terms of absolute profit. If you don't have many crafters, it makes things far more complicated.
As for 'main produce', generally most people grow a bunch of different things so they have good coverage of buffs (Harvest Boost is great for profit, Quality Up can be useful for quality as you're a lower level, water/weed buffs are great for convenience)
If you are able to process everything in time, Bok Choy is by far the most profitable crop. It takes a long time to seed though, so you tend to need lots of seeders.
It's always worth growing Bok Choy if your aim is profit (even raw, it sells well), but if you don't have many crafters, you may want to process other things first
I set up everything after the layout you gave me and I have started to harvest things! I do have two more questions though please!
- How much fertilizer do I put onto a field? I got tons but I am not sure how much to put down. I know which fertilizer to put where thanks to you, the question is truly about quantity^^
- Do I plant the normal seeds and sell the starred ones?
-
Up to you. Personally, I dump 99 fertiliser on the tiles that need it so I can forget about it for a bit. Some others refresh smaller amounts every few in-game days
-
No, plant the starred seeds. They'll increase your revenue by giving you more starred crops
Thank you will just spam fertilizer then!
Is there anything I should do with the normal seeds other than sell them?
You can keep a few, some are needed for quests, but in general you can sell them
Thank you again! ♥ Have a lovely weekend!
Is pickling or seeding more profitable?
jar everything u can besides beans bokchoi potatoe
o7
If I perserve starred pumpkins, are they worth more or the same?
more but uhm
pumpkins are so terrible to grow do not preserve em stockpile em for cookign adn then just dont grow more
I've got 600+ so I was just wondering if it was worth it to preserve before selling or no, thank you!
yeay it is if im wrong u can literly just look at price of one pumpkin open jarmaker look at price of one unstarred pumpkin jar and ad 50% to it to see whats more
alright thank you!
ohh no! but they look so nice!
iik its really said that the pretty orange orbs are so bad to grow
very low coinage per hour
limited use in cooking due to extrmeely low production
useless buff for anyone above lv25 (and almost useles a few levels below)
dont grow in sync wiht anything
well. I rotate them with Spicey pepper. Which feels similarly...bad to grow. But I also designed my garden to look nice, so I make one Pumpkin or Spicey Pepper fit to fulfill some kitchen needs.
fair fair
but well if profit or convenience is ur goal uhm dont grow peppers or pumpkins but i fu like growing em and get to many jarring is the way
yeah, those two are the lowest profit value crops. like IIRC they are even lower profit processed as preserves than selling completely unprocessed bok choy is when looking at profit per in-game day per tile used
If you picked up any of those pumpkins from the Halloween store, you could throw those in/near the garden for the aesthetics?
some of those have been there since they came out maybe a year or two? ago. 😄
My layout was suboptimal in terms of gold efficiency from the point on I decided to fit my garden to the trees that have never been removed from the Original Plot.
I know that. My garden is optimised for my enjoyment of it, both in terms of long term entertainment, beauty and it used to be Growth boost, which was long removed from crops, now Harvest boost and water retention and being able to grow everything, as I host a little weekly friends Cooking party.
it has over fulfilled my gold need over the years, so I never felt I needed more gold efficiency.
I just found Duh's comments interesting to know.
If u ever need something else let me know. and il make it but i feel like ur layout is pretty optimised for you
it totally grew into that over time. I could never use a calculator, because of the weird shape it has. But I just tested and shuffled. All of it is on a quite tight balance (tying into storage max, into processing machine max and so on.) I still read from time to time what the new hot thing is lately out of interest and to see, if I can adapt some things.
So I took up the advice on seeding BokChoi, Potatoes and Beans, but not 100%, because the duration got me into troubles down the line - these 3 seeders run full time - the excess still gets pickled. I really think that trying out for oneself is part of a games enjoyment, but that might be very old fashioned 😉
yeay they balanced everyhting in such a way theres isnt some universla meta
that is actually a wonderful feat not many games can claim for themselves and truly inclusive and cosy.
I definitely agree that trying things yourself is important and part of the fun.
But...I'm not entirely a typical player as you well know haha
That looks so good!
ty!
now you know, why I felt I had to fit a pumpkin
hi guys, was just wondering but since plants grow at diff rates (apple vs carrot for example), do y'all just let the ready to harvest plants be and wait for the not yet finished ones, or do you harvest the ready ones>turn to seeds>and replant?
most of the time, and for a lot of the layouts, it is recommended to harvest and replant. the only time that you wouldn't do that is if you're going with an afk apple/bush farm in which you would leave everything in the ground to provide buffs and just harvest the apples and bushes as they come available
alright, thanks for your help
Heyo n.n Does anyone have a garden planner set up for cooking parties with weed prevention and water retain?^^
this can be used for cake parties. this layout is meant to harvest only the apples and blueberries (though you can swap the blueberries with beans to switch it to a slightly afk gold farm) the apples and blueberries are 100% weed, water and harvest boosted. everything else can be ignored or if you want the aesthetic of the grown crops, you can water and weed until the buff crops are done and then ignore them
Thank you but I have been seeing and been to more other cooking parties than cake ones which seem to be on the rarer side. So I was hoping for a layout that covers a lot of the basic needed produce such as onions, beans, tomatoes, wheat and such :3
Anyone thats not too shy that could jump into a discord call and help me understanding something about gardening and garden planner, ive been using it for a long time but there is something that i quite dont understand ^^, Please add me as a friend and lets talk gardening 😄 i have some nice garden plans saved up too for money making!
I'm not really a VC person, but if the question can be answered here, happy to try helping
Thanks but im a highly visual learner thanks to Adhd and other diagnoses so i can of need to click and see stuff to understand. otherwise i would have probably allready understood it as ive tried to read about it ^^ But i really apreciate you answering and wanting to help :)🙏
nag to someone about my gardening knowledge? challenge accepted
Big Shoutout to DuhScape ^^ ty for the help and info!
what do you guys usually use to make worms/glow worms?
exces meats shrooms egss milk grilled low value fish
thanks
i have a question, does cotton only boost the ones directly touching it or also on corners?
All buffs only extend to those directly adjacent, not diagonals.
So no, corners are not affected
thanks!
When it comes to fertilizer, is it best to use it just before the day of gathering or should I just fertilize anytime I can?
plamp down on a plant for hte amount of ticks it grows can use 1 growthtick amount les on water/weedblock cuz u dont care if it needs watering or weeding when its done growing
Is there like a graphic for showing the 100% Water/Weed garden patterns? The gardening layouts are great, but the crops make it so cluttered for me visually. Great guide to follow when planting though.
?_? what do u mean by graphic
sorry i meant like in a simpler way so its not so visually overwhelming.
uhm it depends on the layout some have a obvious pattern in em
and maybe u just want a simpler layout instead?
yeah i guess i am just missing the pattern 😅
which one u trying to do rn thern
I've already reported this through official channels, but I was wondering if anyone else's soil is looking like this when there's nothing planted on it? I've tried moving decor, moving the soil placement, restarting, and it was this way both before and after the patch.
When I plant on them they reappear, but not completely
I get that in a few spots quite regularly. Thankfully it's fine when something is planted on those tiles, but it is a bit weird!
what does?
hei, im beginner in the game.. can someone recommend me the best gardening layout for the best profit early on? please
some planting spots look like they are not tilled, although they are. They were referring to the picture above.
I also have that regularly, also the hopping multi tiled plants. Both of these visual bugs have been here for a long time and remove themselves when otherwise interacting with the tiles, ie planting or watering.
Oh here i thought u just didnt till it properly xd
Gardening lv?
Hi guys, just hit gardening lvl 11, what layout could I have to maximise the profit of my garden? Always finding it have no money lately
Currently been using the bullseye layout
u might want quality up buff for a bit longer and always harvest boost u want water retain to?
@floral talon ideally yeah, tbh ive not really been using fertiliser so far on the layout ive been using
il whip up the low level profitanator
Anyone have an optimized garden layout for fish cooking parties/passive profit?
run this for a bit proces what u can the cotton should be turnedinto fabric for self use
when ur level gets near 25 u can ditch the cotton and basically get a different layout
i assume u mostly just want rice or anything else?
Anyone have a layout for a bit of everything which i dont have to water each day possibly with 1-2 apple trees onit
I used to do massive amounts of cake parties so my old layout had a focus on blueberries and apples, so whatever I'd need for fish parties like rice or whatever else is good. Just coming back into the game so I'm unsure what would be best, but my levels are very high so I can plant anything.
its mostly just rice unles pokebowl or fish taco dishes but who hosts those pokebowl take twice as logn as the rest for only a little bit more per fish
and hte other dishes everybody overprep rice
could run this layout a couple of rice rotations till u got plenty and hten grow whatever u want
@floral talon thank you 😁
i mean i doubt ul keep needing rice that much as ul run out of stuff to buy with htose fish dish partys real soon
my bad i replied to the wrong one
If it's really only rice I have a ton still, so I guess I should just try and find a good max profit layout. I hear bokchoy and batterbean seeds are very good, but I haven't planted to get star seeds yet.
@floral talon so I'm basically using the rice to make fish dishes?
yw paul
uhm i mixed up u 2 but if u do that ul get plenty of cash real fast
Ah nice, thank you again
to make fish dishes for good money go to some party where someone else puts maws/epic fishes in so u can get up to 5k per round
How does something like this look?
ez to plant terrrible buff wise
Welp time to mess around with it
Is there not a calculated max profit farm layout by now?
if going for a purely money farm, then a field of bok choy with harvest fertilizer on them is the way to go. problem is is that it needs to be constantly babysat as it needs to be watered and checked for weeds every hour and the seeders can only hold 16 bok choy before stalling out which could put a hamper depending on how long you are offline and unable to clear them out to keep going
No, cause it will be different depending on how much you play vs someone else. It also depends on wether you're going for seeding and preserving profit, or cooking parties profit. It also depends if you want to grow at least 1 of everything or not. There's so many factors to take into consideration that there's no way to make a single max profit layout that will work for everyone
In that case I'd guess I would want a farm that can require lots of upkeep as I play a lot, and good for cooking parties.
Thank you for the insight. I didn't bother educating myself much before doing cake parties and just used a farm layout someone who did cooking parties equally as much as myself used.
What website is this? And can I use it on my phone?
Tyyyy
How do people have SO many crop plots? I have the standard nine, but when I visit other plots on the board sometimes they have way more.
You can buy more from Badruu. Soil - Official Palia Wiki https://share.google/mEJDX9D9simkprT4O
So ur saying some folk got more then 9 soils interesting
if they have more than the standard nine, then either they got a glitch/bug that gave them more, or they are hacking the game
Yea, that's the thing I have 9 soil plots, but the plot I visited had way more in this gorgeous garden space.
And not those decor crops that u cant harvest?
They were actual crop plots with weeds growing.
I want more soils to
But then again each sool has a unique idrntifier
Most of the time they've hacked the game in order to do this, so it's not something I'd recommend trying to replicate!
hi, I am new at palia. just 1 week. I fell a bit hard to level up in gardening. i see that recipes related to fish is really good to earn money. is that any advice for that two focus in gardening?
grow lots of star quality rice for that
fishy dishes only worht it if someone else brings an expensive fish
rice, ok
ty
Are all apple stared ?
Is there a layout that has:
- water retain crops
- weed prevention crops
- no fertilizer?
I don’t have all the recipes yet, but I’m thinking of planting crops that are used the most in cooking
level 6.. still early
that depends on your gardening lvl and before that on the seed you use for planting the tree. from a certain lvl onward all crops you will harvest will be starred, no matter what seed you used.
Do you think they'll ever add sprinklers?
we can only dream
but yeay enuf neighboring plant buff and water retain fert so is it really necesary aside from making hte game way more relaxed
Does have any 100% water/weed layouts that:
- Maximizes bok choy
- Maybe has at least 2 bean crops to lazy feed my animals? Not sure if it's worth doing yet tho
- Has at least one of every crop
- Does NOT need to optimize HarvestBoost from crops with the abundance of products from ranching I throw into my worm farms
My current setup is inspired by one of @mint sandal's with a few tweaks.
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.4_D-111-111-111_CR-TPSBkCSTPBt-SPTSOBkBtWR-CoOBkCrPTAAA-BkCBtAAAAAA-BtCbPBkCBkPCbB-AAAAAABCBk-AAATPCrBkOCo-RWBBkOPmTPPm-BPTPmCBkPmPT
I'd ping @mint sandal but don't wanna disturb her, so I hope she'll see this message at some point :^)
This is a compilation of all my everything gardens: #🌱│gardening message
And here's one I just made with your wants. It's got 3 beans, 12 bok choys and 1 of everything else except cotton (it's useless once you're not a beginner at gardening anymore anyway)

can someone make me garden layout for lv7 gardening.. maybe i will hit lv8 tonight..
my goal is pretty much get as much money as i can, while playing less.. thank you
anyone with an AFK Apple farm layout they can share? I really enjoy hunting and mining so having to go home every 6am is a bummer
yes please
i've been spamming 81 bok choys from lv 4 to lv 13 and just started dealing with plant bonuses
is a harvest boost plant needed if I use harvest fertilizer? or i can just use weed block and water retain?
you can get the boost from fert or plants, either works. just remember to put multiple ferts (one layer per in game day)
is that better than putting 100 fert at once during replants?
Nah, far more convenient to spam 99 on a tile if you can.
Not everyone will feel able to spam click so much though!
One sec, I'll find a post with a few afk options
@last badge @final tinsel I have a post with links to a few compilation posts here #🌱│gardening message
One of those compilations is afk layouts
was trying to make a better garden for you if you want more cotton for star quality trees. harder than it looks lol
honestly that would be nice too i was trying to make one as well because i want to have some fabric
but yeah i can't seem to make it work in the planner
i've yet to understand stuff
do you care about having many crops or would you prefer to keep it simple
simple might be better, since i won't have to look at the layout during every replant
also i don't have enough collectors(4), preserves(3) and worms(1), glow (1) yet
the crafting permits are still too expensive for me as of the moment
i should atleast get one for each plant im using right?
i have this, downside is its not AS afk as id like but it does account for starred apples. Very apple focused. Once you hit lvl 25 you wont need this layout anymore and can go for a better afk layout. I used the more profitable (according to the site) crops but you can change as needed
what happens at lv 25?
Crafting permits are one of the most efficient things to spend money on first tbh, more crafters means you earn back that money quicker.
Unless you're quite a low gardening level, it's often not worth growing cotton.
Fitting it in makes other buffs suffer in terms of coverage, and it's rather expensive to make into fabric, opportunity wise.
You end up being better off growing Bok Choy, potatoes, tomatoes, rice and maybe a few others, selling the produce and buying fabric then growing the cotton and making it yourself
im only lv 15 so i might be using that for a while
crops become starred automagically
also one sec tweaking a crop
You don't need to, collect and replant one type of crop at a time.
Then you only need to look at the layout of you accidentally mess up
redid it cus im sick and forgot bok choy exists and is more profitable LOL
With starred seeds, you already have a 80% chance of starred crops btw
i've been relying on choys for most of my gardening life
So you only gain 20% benefit from QU, when it can give up to 50%.
Sacrificing that for better coverage of harvest boost is almost always better at this point.
Or better coverage of other buffs, for convenience
got starred seeds now, except potatoes, hopefully i get one soon
i dont trust my rng enough to take a 80%
Stick a starred potato in a seeder...
yeah no starred potato yet, that one potato I got, I gave to nai'o haha
Fair enough haha
You really have just been growing all Bok Choy I take it haha
honestly I should've planted more potatoes, i planted 1 potato and 80 bok choys during that time
learning new things
All good haha
it happens. the system is confusing at first cus its not like other gardening cozy games (afaik)
if i had to worry about crop bonuses when I plant ancient fruit in stardew id be screwed
thank you for the help guys, but there would be some waiting before I can apply them, I just planted this a few hours ago
hopefully i get a good amount of starred apples
i know your pain
im waiting for my tree to finish so i can move it over a smidge
my goal
shes a mess but i wanted crops of many kinds and didnt care how it looked as long as it worked LMAO
You will, DW 🙂
Can someone else i need like a garden layout witha bit of everything, where i can afk and not have to worry til i have to harvest it thankyou in advance😆
ok cotton is excluded as its cheaper to buy fabric and grow something else and far less headache
Thankyou so much thats great
So i only need to put the fertilizers where it is on the grid
yup u can ignore hte barvest boost ones but hten u get far less produce on those spots
weedblock can be ignored to the chance of getting a weed on that bokchoi before its done growing is quiet small anyways
Okay thats great thank very much for your help, normally i just grow a bit of everything but not fun having to keep going back to water!
yeay fair also everything layouts are more about harvest when u feel like it since so muhc out of sync harvests and replanting is sucha apain so use it as a fridge harvest what ya need whne ya need it
Hey, uh, if someone posted a video in here and you're wondering where your post went, it got deleted and I think I accidentally got tagged instead by a mod, haha. Here's to my inaugural post to this channel letting you know. 🙈
Hey Sailor! In case you need more clarification, you can send a modmail on this
Cool, yeah I'm curious since I've never posted in this channel, haha. Omg, unless I pocket posted 😱
Will they ever add more farming plots?
Okay, how do I do this? I can't figure it out 🙈
!modmail no worries! instructions below! let me know if you need anything else
can someone clarify when we should be applying fertilizer? does it matter if it's applied before/after you plant?
How to Use ModMail
Hey there!
This looks like something you can reach out to the mods for help! You can contact them via ModMail, a bot that will set up a private conversation with the team.
To use ModMail, DM @smoky ingot (that can also be found at the top of our member list).
It will walk you through the process to reach out to the mod team. If you are in multiple servers utilizing ModMail, please make sure to select Palia.
Thanks!
fertilizer needs to be on the crop for every growth tic (every hour) in order for it to be fully effective, if you just place it before harvest there is a high chance that it doesn't work. you can stack up to 99 of a fertilizer on a crop so you don't have to keep running back to the garden to place it
regarding that, i have a question about fertilizing apples
after I put 100 harvest boost on each apple plot, when do i re-apply fertilizer? are more fertilizers even needed?
Does anyone know the biggest money making layout plzzzzz I just spent 400k on lucky coins now I’m broke
Apples used 9 fertiliser per day.
So in 11 in-game days you use the full stack of 99 fertiliser.
You'd want to top up by then.
Apple trees take 30 in game days to fully grow, and for best results you do want the fertiliser present every day
so i'd top it off around 3 times
Highest money layout is full Bok Choy with full harvest boost fertiliser, manual watering and weeding every in-game day.
But, honestly, I'd go with a layout you are happy with tending to.
#🌱│gardening message has links to a few different compilation lists.
Most of the money focused layouts there have full water/weed buffs
oooh i've been using the best plant I guess, except without the harvest fertilizers
Well, if you apply 99 fertiliser when planting, you only need to top up at days 11 and 22
If not using the harvest boost buff, you'd have been likely better off with a mixed layout that did have Hb buff on everything
One of the layouts linked has 55-56 Bok Choy plus heating to give everything HB without fertiliser. It's 2nd best for profit and you can use water fertiliser if wanted
got my 1st apple harvest on the 12th! already left enough to make an extra 5 seeds
Guys I'm struggling, I'm sure someone posted a garden layout with rows of apple trees and 100% weed prevention and water retain
Could someone ping me in it if you know where it is??
PING!!!! look above theres also variants with different fertilisers incase u cant get enuff harvest boost
You are an absolute saint!! Thank you 🫶
🫡 aw ty ❤️
tysm!!
well i mean hes only wrong if u encalc the fertiliser cost
having a few bugging plants to consume way less fert creates some impossibly difficult to plant layout thats better
ty! will try it out and let you know how it goes
can i ask why pumpkins?
Canned Pumpkins supposed to be good for coins
What are your thoughts about using meat on worm farms? Are they worse than using crops?
This is my current setup
Not the best but wanted something i didn't have to water + weed and still get the crops i wanted. Open to suggestions of improvement!
If you want alot of worms and fertilizer I would go with grilled fish. Especially the higher value fish.
Can someone send a good Layout for beginners? Asking for a friend
is the time investment worth it having to fish and cook over just hunting a lot of mujin and sernuks?
They are not. Canned Pumpkins might have a high sell price but you get so few of them that any other crops is better for profit
It depends. If you just want a steady stream of glow worms and don't need loads of them quickly, then meats are actually very good. If you are worming for profit, glow worming meat is one of the best options (staircase/Floatfish Mushrooms are a tiny bit stronger in profit per hour, but marginally. 16g meats are joint second best)
Far better than crops (plus crops tend to be better preserved or seeded. Preserved crops can be wormed though).
I do feel that Ranching produce is better though, as it's very quick to get enough for a bunch of worm farms. But, if you use loads of glow worm farms, then you'd need extra stuff too
Low production good profit and theres no better use for exces meats anyways
Hi sharing this layout with fertilizers (6 watering, 8 bad grass, 1 harvest) . Low work and good rent. 😁
Can have 8 ferts for sell bad grass.
Seems decent
Is there a good garden set up to have a little of everything?
Here
Above
This was my other layout. The Garden Planner doesn't give a coin amount higher than the pumpkins and apple layout.
u need to select the right coinage settings
What do you mean?
growthtick and correct gardening level and wha tu proces stuff into correctly
You are comparing 6 preserve jars to 9 preserve jars on a per hour basis. So of course the apple/pumpkins with more preserve jars will make more per hour with 50% more preserve jars.
I would advise using the per growth tick setting for average gold, not per hour.
Then it doesn't matter how many preserve jars you have set.
Using the per hour method doesn't account for time you don't spend on the game either, so I'm not a fan personally
per real life hour is kinda odd cuz some people cant proces everything while others have spare proces capacity so it dont say much
I got the correct gardening level plugged in.
growthtick button?
I only had 9 on the other, because there was 3 different crops.
After upping the preserve jars and setting it for growth ticks the amount of coins didn't change.
The number of crafters doesn't affect the average gold if you have growth ticks chosen as the setting.
But look at the average amount of gold, it's about 50% higher with the potatoes/Bok choy
oh that days of harvest aint right u need to have a amount thats divisible by both bokchoi and potyatoe growht times like 15
Yes the total amount of gold is lower, but that's because it is set to 5 days of harvest.
If you want the best way to compare different layouts using total gold made, always set it to 180 days of harvest.
That way, every single crop will have a whole number of full harvests, which is useful for comparing layouts (for instance, you get 1 Bok Choy harvest and 2/3 of the way to the next with 5 harvest days)
I never got that much from this layout the whole time I was harvesting and processng it though.
180 days of harvest can take 2 whole months if you play every day for 2-3 hours a day
Welcome 🙂
I guess I am totally screwed now lol
Why?
Because I already switched my garden over
There's no rush in this game, you can switch the layout when you are able to
But I run through coin like water lol
Especially since I am in the building process on my plots lol.
Cooking parties are the best for gold, not gardening
Hunting and fishing can also be rather lucrative
My hands have a hard time with the cooking games.
I have been doing mining on the side too.
Fair enough
If you really want to, you can remove the crops growing ATM using the secondary action of the hoe (right click on PC)
yeay this why u should only stove rice on mawshimi and stuff like that
I don't have any luck with catching maws.
u dont have to aslong as others bring em u just bring rice
this is what i ended up using as a layout for an all crop farm. I replaced a blueberry and a pepper with a carrot and batterfly bean just to get those in there
does anyone have the best layout for this bundle board? (beans, cabbage, spicy peppers)
if the cabbage isn’t in there, that’s okay! since i can get cabbage from the crop store but i need starred peppers & canned beans ☹️
if it helps u only need one bean crop and one spicy pepper to comp it
try to harvest boost it
also u got a few days left to my knowleged (unles its tausday+ a week so not next teusday)
you can delete 1 apple tree and rework the space for add more various vegetables
Oh and for machines need :
Seeds collectors:
3 for creating seed for garden or for 1 Boy chok + 2 potatoes seeds selling.
6 for Boy Chok

Garden Planner Mini-Update
Hello everyone. Minor update, though apologies that it took this long.
Detailed Changelog here: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/changelogs
🐛 Bug Fixes:
- Gold output was slightly off when the Replant Cost setting was enabled and using processing.
- When using the Growth Speed Boost setting, if one crop type has tiles both affected and unaffected by growth boost, output was waay off.
✨ Info Additions & Improvements
Planner now shows more info on various things:
- Harvest list updated, can now once again see produce and potential gold value from a harvest, with estimated process time for that harvest. (Toggle it on in the options there, may be heavy in performance.)
- Harvest list now has a new button to see further stats for that day specifically
- Tending panel added, featuring a chart of which days have harvests and which days do not
- Tables of misc. info, featuring:
- Shop costs for fertilisers & seeds (All Harvests' Misc Tab). Still yet to add configurations to impact the final gold output.
- Per-crop misc tab, with various stats and said stats relative to each other (Growth Ticks, Gold Output, Processing Time, Harvests, etc.)
Thank you guys once again for your continued usage & support of the Garden Planner. Please report any odd behaviour & bugs you find, or things you'd like to see in the new displays.
Happy Gardening & see you next update!
❤️ ty for ur hard work
Thank you ❤️
do you think replacing maybe 1 blueberry and 1 pepper for two batterbean would make a good cooking party layout? Or would you recommend a different layout for most crops being used for cooking parties?
If you no use pepper for cooking, look at my layout little more upstair from this message.
Anyone else notice their plants stopped growing?
U have 9 weeds on ur soils combined timetravel knapweed grrr
Hmm is it not good to consolidate weeds to one soil plot?
No cuz tldr knapweed timetravel bug
If only we could i could make a layout with 7 afk apple trees or more
Curse u knapweedbug
Ahh thank you
Guys I am really sorry, this is probably a dumb question but how can I until my soil?
need to be 48real life hours since u tilled it AND no crop on it
Awesome! Thanks 🙂
if uw ant to move it between plots make sure theres no fertiliser on it even invisible ones as then u cant pick it up
Hello friends im looking for a good set up for a apple, blueberry, and bean farm.if anyone coukd help 😮
this is one that i use. the blueberries can be swapped out for beans (i do two beans, two blue). the apples and bushes are 100% water, weed and harvest boosted. the other crops would need tending if you wanted to either process for gold or if you want the aesthetic of the grown crop
um what crops should I can
and what crops not to
and a good all around garden set up
including all crops
bokchoy, beans and potatoes want to be turned into seeds, jar everything else
Got it
I think I asked in the wrong place... we are not able to place the soil for gardening on the terraces right?
What app is this
So can we garden with this app for items/gold in game or no
it's a tool to help players plan out a garden to use in game. you can use it to see how much you could potentially get, as the planner is assuming that you are playing basically 24/7
https://discord.com/channels/809856101326913567/1142204717489983528 might be the right channel, but as you also cannot put houses and trees on them without glitching, I think not.
no. this app only helps you plan your IG garden. You need to then go IG and execute what you planned in the app 😉 and well, actually garden IG
does anyone know what makes the most fertiliser? I don't care about worms, just need more harvestboost
grilled fish
ty!
u can also 24/7 exces meats mushrooms and milk/eggs
yeah I'm doing that, but need more
yeay the fert slurping ios real on some layouts
so basically the output of wormer depends on the gold value of the item u dump into em
and girlled fish or if u like cooking alot cooking items are the best contender for most per crafter per hour
k, thank you. Im just playing more, so watering more, and it's eating up fertiliser faster than I can make it. Im trying to avoid buying it
u cannot uby harvestboost fertiliser
tbh ive just been using all my leftover eggs and milk from ranching and i always have atleast 500-1.000 harvestboosts in my chest
I knowww !! And my gardens are always full with em so idk how I’ve got so many haha
my record was 6k i wanted my storage space back
so now im using fertslurper to think that thanks to ranching i havent ran out of fert anymore

well ranching is infiniter fertiliser at the heavy cost of having alot of wormers ...
Honey gives aloootttt of QualityUp fertilizer, if anyone uses those :)
quality up ferrtt becomes less usefull over time FAST
i use mine to put on crops to clear the previous fert
ive never used it tbh haha
the window that poeple can use it and that it is still usefull is quiet short
Do the giant mushrooms give seeds when full grown?
the piksii bounce stuff doesnt if u mean those
Thank you, it is and that’s a bummer
they wanted poeple to keep doing piksii bounce and not just get just enuff to plant a ton
I can understand that
Hi guys, is someone also unable to plant anything? I can til the soil but as soon as i want to plant whatever its simply not possible (I'm on steamdeck if thats relevant)
is it selected on the hotbar ok? sometimes i have to toggle a few times until i can see the ghost image of the plant and then place it. are you seeing that ghost blueprint line?
hi everyone i've used 2 of your sick layouts already and one was full of apples and the other had one of everything and now i want a middle. i want mostly apples but the ability to put in bushes, even just one bush, but i guess 2 bushes would be ideal. the bushes wouldn't be touching the trees because i want the trees to definitely have coverage but the bushes can require maintenance, so like, i'd always have apple income, but i can grow bushes as i need certain ingredients
nevermind i found a great layout by using search in this channel and found one for cakes
how any seeders/perserve jars does everybody have?
I have a mere 3 seeders, but a set of 8 preserves jars. 1 seeder is always full of potatoes.
it depends on your layout with how many you need (also playstyle). for me as i only harvest apples and beans and leave everything else in the ground, i just have 2 seeders (1 for apple and 1 for bean) and then 8 preserve jars for the apples
20 or something
anyone have a no water/weed one of everything layout?
#🌱│gardening message
Follow the link in that post to the everything garden compilation 🙂
On mobile, so I can't click a link on a post I have searched for, else I would have given the direct link to the post
I just went from 2 preserve jars to 7....I think I'm gonna be adding more. The Napa Cabbage Kimchi Empire will not be denied. It's becoming an obsession
Word
If you click "jump to message" it'll bring you to the post and you can then click the link
Huh, did not expect that.
Good to know, Ty!
Please can someone tell me how many harvest boost fertiliser I need to drop on each square to make sure I get the boost for bok choy? I believe if it is not present at every growth tick for the plant it does not give the boost at harvest? Want to be able to add when planting and ignore knowing the plant has enough to get to harvest
3
Tysm
it has three ticks of growth so needs it for 3 times funnily enuf water retain and weedblock fert u need 2 cuz why care if it has a weed/water on it at hte last tick
anyone got a blueberry layout for me if possible wiht tons of apples need one blueberry tops but more oculd be ok im to tired to whip something up today
maybe i should remake the 6 apple but remove one apple or osmehting
not at home but if you ping me in an hour I can probably whip something up then
i think iw hipped something up myself now

Hi, are the Speed Gro work now ???
Still buggy
It’ll probably be fixed with the next patch at least I’m hoping it is
This is highly unlikely I'm afraid.
It's been bugged for a very long time, and rather than fix it, they removed it from being present on apple trees as its buff and made the fertiliser only available for gardening medals in the skill store (used to be from worm/glow farms before, not sure which one).
They probably did that because it can be needed for a quest, and they didn't want to lock people out of the quest entirely.
I didn’t know that it’s been an issue for so long thank you. I just got my apple trees a couple days ago and I was hoping it would be on the upcoming patch but thank you for telling me! 🙂
Hi there! I'm trying to stock up on HarvestBoost fertilizer, and was wondering if Glow Worm farms produce more fertilizer over regular worm farms?
Fert same they do get clogged faster with reg worms filling the output slots faster
Some items are more moneys to worm regularly some better glowed generally glowwormer better
Hey I play on the switch and I want to "kill" a vegetable that I planted on my garden. Does someone know if this is possible?
whatever is rclicko n switch while holding a hoe
nah its the button u select ammo with in fishing rod belt and bow equipped
I will try that thanks 😊
I wish we could have more garden spots
can you still infest a plot of weeds to keep them growing in the others?
Ig u get 9 weeds things get funny so dont do strategic weedplacement
Is there a way to figure out how to maximise the gold output on crops? Currently I have three apple, four blueberries and the rest split between tomato and potato (arranged like the photo)
I then preserve it all and sell. I'm not sure if there is a way I can improve the amount I'm getting with different crops or something. There's so much information I can't get my round it.
Thanks in advance!
Ur layout is low on harvest boost
Does anyone have a good bean burger layout that has apples? I tried to do it myself but I just cant figure it out
Would I be better swapping potatoes out for something that has harvest boost do you think? I use the boost fertiliser
Ur layout is minmaxed for ez planting not production u need something else i think
This is the best I can manage
Wow u must really like cooking random dishes
Its bean burgers ingredients
U need pumpkins or still low level in need of quality up
It was to boost quality for nearby dishes and I feed them to my ranch animals
Quality chances go up with ur gardening lv so u can eventually ditch it
Whats ur lv?
Like 10? I hate gardening i do it as little as possible
Id do it more if more than just harvesting gave exp toward levels
25% +2%point per lv +25%(star seeds) + 50% with quality up all in percentpoints is ur star produce chance
So at 25 quality up does nothing with star seeds and 38 u can only get starred produce

This is very similar to one I use: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.4_D-111-111-111_CR-Bk.YBBC.YBBBkPT.W-AAAAAAAAA-BkPT.WC.YBBBk.YBB-AAAAAAAAA-CrPTBkC.HBkTPCr-AAAAAAAAA-BBBk.YBBC.YT.WPBk-AAAAAAAAA-T.WPBkBBC.YBBBk.Y_L25Cr0.T.P-TP2-A.P-AP6-P.S-PS3-Bk.S-BkS4-C.P-CP-Cr.P-CrP-R.S-RS-W.S-WS2
The trick here is to use 12 fertilizer (which can be bought at the store) to do the watering/weeding for you. You can swap out the blueberries for beans if you like. This layout w/ fertilizer provides 100% harvest/water/weed boost.
i only ever harvest the apples and beans (as i swapped two blues for beans) so i don't need to worry about the fertilizers. but your layout is great for full harvest
that one is greatf or poeple who wanna harvest everyhting while i made sylvas for poeple who are only interested in bothering with hte larger plants
down with pumpkins
how do you see that???
palia garden planner on website https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/
is it a game? what do you do lol
its just a planner tool to organize your garden plots. its easier to see boosts and money that way
it doesnt transfer over to the game though
Thanks I think I will give this a go. It's a lot higher than mine was on there haha
it's a nice "set it and forget it" layout. especially if you only harvest the apples and blue/beans (if you swap them out), which is what i do with it
Yeah I've been doing mine mainly for them as that's what I was getting the most money for. I choose tomatoes and potatoes for the water retain but now I just want to maximise cash for the new house 😂
saw ya in gen chat, ima give this a try when the game opens back up!
tyty, as a note its easier if you have worm/glow worm farms for the harvest boost fert so you only have to buy weedblock (hydrate fert is optional since only one potato needs it)
i made it specifically to have as much crop variety as possible with as much profit as possible with minimal effort, the weedblock I wasnt worried about since Id need it for weeklies anyways and i use worm bins for the harvest boost fert
heya guys, has anyone ever ended up with a missing plot? I currently have 8 and can't buy another one... and i've looked in all my storage and unlocked housing plots
also sent a ticket to tech support but I;m guessing theyre busy over there ^^;
oof tuff luck maybe try the store again?
fingers crossed the update dislodged something for me lol
its also technically possible to place soils below ur plots where u cannot reach em anymore
Hey there, maybe i'm just stupid or whatever.. Is there a way to get NON Star blueberries? the hell i did everything and yes i use the non star seeds xD Almost everything else can be bought at Badruu but not this or hot pepper.. but sometimes i need such Non star stuff to fullfill requests or something.. Any ideas?
star chance scales with lv after 38 u cannot farm anything unstarred regardless of seeds
theres some rng things that give tiny amounts of em
no u do not need unstarred anything for cooking aslong as poeple click the allow starred button(incase ur stuck on this)
i know that stuff with cooking.. no worries about that.. I mean with request for example .. a friend asks for Blueberries but i cant fullfill it, cuz you cant send them starred ones 😉 even with the hot pepper stuff 🙂
practically u used up the last unstarred blueberrys and apples ul ever get
the devs did mention they wanted to change the requets systema bit in the future cuz of this issue
ok thank you for the answers 🙂 hopefully they will change that system as well 🙂
i mean u can like get some unstarred apple or blueberry evbery hundred or so zeki coins / rummage piles but thats practically not an option
mh i just remembered u can absolutely overpay in gardening medals to get em i forgot so pricy
is that good setup for not big farm?
Iv used yours idea
bbit low on harvest boost and if ur soils amounts are tiny u probs want more quality up as well cuz ur probably low lv and if not low lv u dont want the cotton at all
Im lvl 6 gardening
u did pretty ok for anewby dw
any advices what to change here?
i think u shoudl ditch weedblock for the time being so u can buff the beans wiht harvest boost
No idea what you just said tbf
ditch the bokchoi and carrot for example and place something like corn/wheat/rice to have mroe harvest boost buf giving plants
this is something what i would do of course u can swap same buff plants aslong as they keep a buddy plant
only the corner cabbage dont got quality up and hte cotton but cototn doesnt need quality up anyways as its only use is to get turned into fabric or that one furniture item u need cotton to make
Uuu that's also look cool
tnx i also make layouts for EVERYONE
ok almost everryone some poeple have really nonsensical requests
hahaha legend
but dont let me taker ur joy of making ur own layouts from ya
Imma try but first i need some tips
lets start with what does each buff even do
also dont sweat to much on minmaxed garden profits (the returns are very diminishing and tryharding ur better of joining some secret money party that im not yet gonna bother ya with)
most important one water retain cuz watering is alot of work
weedblock is more for poeple who got ocd and want their crops to always be in sync o rlater in the game when ur lazy
quyality up buffs the chances alot of the produce being starred but ur lv also affects this so at 25 its completely useless but before then its good
harvest boost +50% produce for the same work yey
this means for u as a low lv despite every buff beign possible XD (aside from speedygrow that one is bugged anyways)
harvest boost
quality up(especially on harvestboosted stuff)
water retain cuz ur watering can is bad
Thansk bro damn thats a lot of things to look for
basically im like im gonna add water retain and harvest boost and quality up ok
then which water retain plants do oi like the most some are more coins per growthtick but more work to proces others more harvest looking at u tomatoes(thats more work) cabbage is low money but little work so i personally love that one the most
but u need 2 water retain so i ad potato as thats les work then tomatoe but u could cabbage tomatoe instead or potato tomato
Is it a good idea to place harvest boost fertilizer while an apple tree is growing? I've seen it consumes 9 fertilizer each growth tick, but you get no apples until the last ticks, when the tree is fully grown...
Wait u might be on to something
5x9x12 540coins in hb boost fert
...what do you mean...?
Question, I am at a point where I'm primarily getting starred crops and almost no non-stars.
This is largely fine but it does mean I can't gift any (most quests seem the accept the starred version)
Is there ways to reduce quality? 😂
I don't know the way to reduce quality (if it exists), so from lvl25 you'll be suffering from successs.
Thank you XD I'll just be generous with other items
Nope unstarred seeds but 25all star seeds starred produce only
38 unstarred seeds starred produce only
Best farm for blueberries
?
Does the plants not grow anymore while I’m off the game? I came back and it was still watered, how before I would come b and need to water it. I didn’t use any fertiliser
Il check later
They grow one in-game day's worth after you log off, no more
how many blueberrys do you need?
i could not care less about weed and water retention, I am trying to min max my tomatoes and my apples. Thoughts? I might swap tyhe blueberries with more beans, idk.
are u lv 10 or do u need those cottons
I am level 12 gardening. I'm using the cotton to ensure the apple trees are giving quality boost. Should I replace them with something?
its all good at higher lvs u dont need quality up anymore but u still do dont forget to fill in the fertilisers
i would personally ditch the weedblock plants at your lv
get more water retain >:D an du need hte pluck a ton of weeds achievment still
But doesn't increased quality = increased profits?
Problem is with the spicy on both sides, both trees need just one more +quality boost for it so I need to use something
Yeay thats useful i said ditch weedblock not quality up
You were just asking if I needed the cotton and then mentioned you don't need quality up at higher levels so I'm a little confused
12is low u can ditch cotton at 25
man i really should make a ez to understand explanation card for quality up and star chance at some point
I see. What makes it better to ditch them at 25?
u statr with 25% star chance star seeds up that to 50%
every gardening lv gives +2 % so at lv25 ur starred seeds are always starred produce basically the coton buff does 0 at that point
Makes sense ty
Hi guys, I'm new to this channel; wondering if knapweed is actually a problem, besides having to pick it. Like, does it reduce harvest numbers or slow down growing time? I tried searching before asking but all I saw were a bunch of posts about time travel and 9 weed blocks, which didn't make sense to me.
there a bug when u got to much 9knapweed the game cant save ur crops growing
like it wont save that it grown unles u interact with it
Question for veteran gardeners.
Say I grow a bunch of tomatoes and I want to put them into the preserve jars for canning to sell them all for money...
Whats the ratio of my crop that I preserve vs turn back into seeds? Goal is to be sustainable so I dont run out of tomato seeds and Im left scrambling
with or without harvestbboost?
Lets say with
one every 42 tomatoes needs s to be seeded
but just check before jarring if u need more seeds then its fine without ratios
So for easy math I harvest 40 tomatoes. Turn 38-39 back into seeds and the remaining gets jarred then sold?
no u harvest 42 and seed 1 41; get jarred
Oh flip so flip what I said 😂
nvm i messedup 4 out of 46 get seeded
So save 4 tomatoes for seeds then turn the other 42 into preserves for money
yeay kinda
More or less. 😂
Thank you!
but u can be simpler if u know what urtt gonna plant dump that amount in or something
wait what was the seed to tomatoe ratio again in the seeder anyways with 4 plants u keep 42 for jar the resti sfor seeds
What else should I plant with the tomatoes?
potatoes seeds only
So for the 9 plots, do a checkboard layout of tomatoes and potatoes?
and some other croips u like definitly something harvestboosting
this is probably what U want
Yw
Hiya, newbie here. Could someone explain the seed vs whole item valuation to me?
I don't understand why it's common practice to sell the seeds rather than just the fruit/veg itself when they're worth more? I know preserves are an option too, but I just want to focus on this aspect of gardening for now.
Specifically, I keep seeing people say to sell bokchoy seeds but the value for 1 seed packet is half the value of the veg itself. Did the prices of these get changed or am I missing something?
Bokchoy Seed: 15
Bokchoy: 30
Kimchi: 40
for example you get four seeds for every potato! so one star quality potato sells for 67 gold, but four star quality seeds sell for 30 gold each, which is 120 gold total
hi I see there are a ton of layouts in this channel. can anyone recommend a really good one for beans?
Depends on ur needs
hmm I like to participate in cake parties, maybe some of those maws parties later on
Maws partys need rice cake depends on ur role
okay then lets say I just need a lot of beans and rice and maybe one each of the other main ingredients. tomatoes, potatoes, onion, corn, carrot. that about cover it?
not sure if that's a good idea or not, I haven't really dove into gardening yet
Lets see if i can find the layout u need
tysm!
This one i think is good for ya
@thin remnant
thanks! should I replace the blueberries with beans?
Yup
The apples are to make it less work and so u can do cake roles and so u can make honeylures as those take apples
perfect! thanks so much!!
tip: I'm probably not the first to mention this but if you pick up your hoe after each swipe, you can till an entire square in one swipe and move faster
I plant apples so i almost never have to retil cuz i dont get so many growthticks
Hi all - any suggestions for an AFK garden that grows blueberries? I only want it to self water/weed so I don't have to check on it except for harvest. Thank you
found an apple/blueberry garden in here that weeds/waters the fruits - thank you all for your hard work + willingness to share these garden layouts!
Does anyone know?
I feel like the 2x2 crops consume all the 100 fertiliser I give them in like 6h of gameplay, I don't know it it's worthy fertilise them...
They consume 4 each per growthtick but theres some bug that max fert stacks vanish
I placed my pumpkin seed and I got the fertilizer back o_O
Multitilevcrops tend to do that
I messed up placing my soil plots and have been waiting ages for the tilled tiles to go back to untilled, so that I can move them (for some reason it keeps saying that there's no available space to move the plot while they are tilled).
How long do I have to wait for them to go untilled? I have tried planting loads of carrots to make them untilled after harvesting, and a couple days for them unplanted to revert back. Having no luck!
48 irl hours AND not having aplant on it after the time
yeah :( is it just random chance for a harvest to untill the tile?
no 48 irl hours
also u cant move asoil if it has anything on it includin gsometimes invisible fertiliser
invisible fertiliser might be messing me up yknow
plant something ont he soil u cant pickup
place a fert down ur not gonna use anywyas i use quality up fert since i wont plant platns that give that buff anyways one growhttick later tis gone but u do have to wait till untilling
I have been struggling getting non stared veggies from my garden. I’ve heard after a certain gardening level it mostly only gives u stared items, however i need them for reg cooking, gifts, and other items. I’m not going to drop a stack of gold for veggies when i should be able to grow them with ease. Also i struggle foregoing other ingredients let alone stared ones to make items. I make sure to use correct seeds, not place any quality boosting plants or fertilizer, and I’m at the point where it’s genuinely starting to hinder my game… any advice would be so helpful 😅✨
u do not need it for cooking
no u cant get em after a certain lv
i know it's no where near the most efficient garden in the world by any means but i finally found a garden set up i'm ACTUALLY happy with and it's semi low maintenance, no fertilizer
after 25 gardening star qual is 100% even from normal seeds
let us know if u need one thats also weedblock on the blueberrys or water retain weedblock on everyhting(htough that one takes a little bit of zekis fertiliser)
still quiet decent
u also messed up the bottom right corner lmao
i was going to offer it as well (i have the layout pulled up, just don't want to step on toes if they need more rice for things)
yeay i mean if someone wants to be 5 % objectively less efficient but like it more im happy for em
u honestly dont wanna know what kind of monstrosity i run XD
its an afk 5 apple 1 blueberry thing
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.4_D-111-111-111_CR-BBTBBBkBkTCr-PCoPOBkOCbTW-TSSBkSSCrTBk-OCbWRTBkOCbC-AAAAAAAAA-CCbOBkTRWCbO-BkTCrBtBtBkBtBtT-WTCbOBkOPCoP-CrTBkBkPmPmTPmPm
Hey guys! This is my current garden layout (found it on this group a while ago) and i would like something similar but with more rice. What i like about this is that it has all the plants, and doesnt need watering. It also doesn't grow weeds but i dont really care about that. Does anyone have something similar but with more rice please? I want to have more rice to be able to join sushi and sashimi parties
I think - i am satisfied with this
can you grow ginger, garlic, and the green onion or can you only forage for it?
only forage
devastating 💔 thank you
Hey i got one for u
U can swap alot of corn for rice on this one
I assume U wanted an everything layout
is anyone having this problem with their gardening plots? I haven't been able to move them for about 2 irl weeks because apparently something is in the way!
Also, I haven't fertilised any of my plots for about the same amount of time, but ALL off my crops are coming out gold starred. Which is nice for money but I really need normal tier crops for my animals lol. Any ideas why it's bugged like that?
Okay so Mortis helped me out - it's the Silverwing blocking all the plots for some reason!
But I am still baffled about the phantom fertiliser and gold stars
U dont need normal tier crops for animals just overfeed em then on starred jarred stuff
Phantom fert is easily fixable but takes a while to untill
Are u trying to pick up the soil to move to another plot or to just move it on the same plot
half my animals have sensitive stomach debuff so I save the non starred for them
ive tried moving them for now, hopefully its reset them
Oof bad animals bad but i understand its hard to retrait em
im actually trying to reroll the rest for needy so i can get hardworking legendary lol
Ah so it wil eventually solve itself nice
that's the hope!
Hey, so I've got a pretty basic understanding of gardening so I fully accept that it could just be user error, but shouldn't my fertilizer last more than one in-game day? Around half of my garden just eats the fertilizer every time, but it sticks around for a good while on the other half. Is it something to do with the placement of my crops or a weird bug?
Plants give buf to if buf from plant not use the fert
Ah okay, so if the plant doesn't have that buff then I'll have to replace that fertilizer every day?
Or u just place down more then one after seeding a cabbage grows 6 ticks so harvest boost apply 6 at a time for example
Or dump down 90 if u repeat the layout alot
Oh okay, I didn't know you could place more than one. Thank you! And yeah, I stick with pretty much the same layout. I'm not really growing for max profit or anything, so I mostly have things that bloom more than once or things I use a lot. This is the basic layout that I've got. Apples for my ranch animals, beans for canning for focus, cotton for fabric, and then the rest I just sell.
uhm why do u only have 6 soils?
Anything bigger just seems like too much to handle and it doesn't look as nice and neat on my plot
If you think 6 is bad, wait until you hear that I spent the first year of the game with only 4 😂 the other 2 are a new addition
i mean ur at least doing it
maybe a afk layout is more for u so u can tend to it when u feel up to it
Huh, I'll definitely look into it. Thanks for your help and feedback!
thank you so much! i would like something that has tomatoes, onions and wheat as well though, do you think there is any way i could add them in this layout or should i look for another one?
yeay substitution u can replace one of hte weedblock crops completely with onions if u want to
many configurations of the corn rice u can turn into lots of corn plus some wheat
cabbages can also be tomatoes
i just picked the crops for it i did the make most insync harvests
thank youu!!
What do these doo.. do i get stuff from them???
do you have to set these right beside each other?
They're decor versions of the crops. You don't get harvestable crops for them but if you wanted to build a fake garden on your plot for decor then you can (since we are currently limited to just the 9 dirt squares)
Does anyone have suggestions for a good money making garden layout?
I just harvested 96 apples from 4 trees in one shot.... it seems high to me.. Is that common?
Looked it up, yes it is!
Is there a way to untill soil or do I have to wait 48 hours (in game?) for it to return to normal ans pick it up
u gotto wait make sure no fertiliser is left on it though cuz otherwise u cannot move it from plot to plot
Ok good it’s just plain tilled no seeds or fertiliser
Whats the best thing(s) to put in preserves?
they're decor recipes
everyhting thats not bokchoi or potato beans
also not pumpkin but thats cuz u shouldnt proces em at all as they are suhc low money per tile per growhttick only grow for cooking use
Thank you
Is there a trick to untilling the plots?
I know right click digs up crops
But even after digging it up, the soil is still tilled so it won't let me pick it up to move to a different lot
they revert after 48 irl hours, with or without crops on them. just have to wait them out
Make sure theres no fertiliser or invisible fertiliser if u wanna pick it up
Invisible fertilizer is a thing?
Its been a while since Ive used any fertilizer, so I should be fine there
if u got fer ton a tile and it untils it oftens stays but s invisible after tilling till u plant somethign especially on larger plants
Hello everyone, can someone help to explain flowers event in Kilima?
Specifically when does it count as complete event and when it rewards the recipe
I did 6 times all the flowers solo and haven't got a single recipe
Are they just that rare?
yeay they are quiet rare
u get a chance per foragable plucked from the bloom to get recipes the last reciep is rarer then the first cuz at first u get like a roll per recipe ur missing
Interesting, alright thanks, I guess I just have to keep trying
when i did it there where more poeple watering em and calling out where they were i could do one server hop to a friend do that one up to 6 timnes per bloom spawn to speed things up not sure how much u could copy that but if u can it will help ALOT
I can do around 4-5 per ingame day
theni gues u also know hte best way to find one if noone calls it out
Yeah, checked the spawns on wiki, thanks for explaining how it works of course
What's the best item/food to use to make HarvestBoost fertilizer? As in, what will yield the most fertilizer?
Grill ur useless fishies then put the grilled fish in
Guys
How do I make vegetables non-starred?
I am so annoyed
unstarred seeds cannot make unstarred crop passed lv38
starred seeds passed 25
u do not need unstarred veggies outside of gifting or when poepel forget the allow starred checkbox
yeay it scales per level wiht like a base 25% at lv0
so ur almost never getting any and if u were to use unstarred now u get like 3% chance at unstarred per produce
or u can use starred veggies
Actually I forgot I can put non-starred in lockbox
checkbox ALLOW starred when cooking
so i assume u ment lockbox starred rarer foragables
if u allow starred and run out of starred it will allow u to select unstarred whatever
Can someone explain to me how a Bok Choy seed sells for less that a fully grown one but everything online says the $$ is in selling the seeds and not the veggie/kimchi?
I assume its quantity over quality? 1 plant for 4 seeds
Oh wait I answered my own question 😂
One Bok Choy is 45 gold but its 4 seeds are 22.
So that one plant can make 88 gold. Okay! Nevermind. Thank you!
Anyone having troubles with their soils ? I wanted it to untilled itself, so I planted rapid crops but when I collected them, my soil stayed tilled... (The 3x3 square I'm trying to pick up shouldn't have fertilizer either)
Ur the third person this month to make such a post xd if it makes u feel better
A little, yeah 😂
Outside of cooking (9), all my other skills are past 10, so now begins the loop of being rich
So if anyone has a solid plot layout for "Bean Burger" garden (onions, tomatos, batterfly beans, wheat) Im all ears
Here we go
something like this?
Dang! What the heck? How do you add 2 additional crops and end up with more yield across the board? 😭
I tweaked it
I dont mind watering the plants. Its fun hearing all of them go "buh ding" at the same time with the exquisite water can 😂
now it shows everything starred so its easier to compare

Ooooh I didnt know your gardening level determined the guarantee of a starred crop!
Level 25 is 100% but my level 10 is 70%
does anyone have a beginner gardening guide? im new and only have 4 plots
Is there in game etiquette on going to other players homes and weeding and watering their garden? Idk why I love doing this but I don’t want to overstep my boundaries.
Yes you should ask before going to their plot and doing stuff.
But if it's your close friend you can go without asking 🤣
though it casues them 0 harm if u do (like for real theres no reason for htem not to want u to unles they do some weedscience or something but we already know the answers)
some poeple dont like it most do though
Personally, dont pick my weeds. Thems money. It may only be 1 gold but hey! Enough of them.... thats lots of gold over time 😂
Anyone with advice on how to get bell peppers (not star ones)?
Before they appeared in the cat shop, but now it’s impossible to get them (not appearing in any shop, nor car not farmer one) and all I can crop are star ones. So rn I can only make petitions for it (I’m feeling greedy)
Some random once every hundred rummage piles/zekicoins
The pain in that answer…🥲
Also, thank you
If ur gonna feedback plz feedback for making starred stuff giftable and em changing the cooking system into the allow starred being default
I can use multiple HarvestBoost Fertilizer on the same crop, does that make a difference or am I wasting fertilizer?
I've already make a suggestion and a feedback with that idea 😅
You can... it's supposed to stack there so you don't need to apply it often. Once done, pressing "G" should tell you the amount of "stacked fertilizer" it has with a number next the title
Ur doing ur part
Slow but steady, we need an improvement in that field 😅
What is the best food for focus points? Boy Choy? Want something to feed myself and my animals?
how often do we need to use fertilizer?
and emm, im maybe accidentally buying too much gardening plot, i have 9 now, what should i plant
and what is growth thick in the guide?
If not wanting to cook jar stuff for the animals
0600 when online one time after is when the crops grow
I'm never going to need 325 pumpkins, right? I should just sell some of these? 😅
One stack of 30 starred pumpkins is almost 4000 gold
Anyone have a side by side photo or doc of each plant base price + starred price + jam price + seed price ? been trying to find but I cannot
Unles u do pumpkin role alot in cooking partys
Pumpkins are not a moneycrop but if u do need yo sell jar first
I don't do cooking parties
Then u dont need many pumpkins
Check pinned - good guides there
Can I ask for some advice on a garden layout please 🙏. Basically I want to max profit and I like apple's and blueberries while also having some cotton as I seem to run out a lot. This is the best I have come up with on my own. I'm not too fussed about weeding, or watering really as long as I am racking in cash.
What an interesting layout
Btw growing other crops processing those then buying fabric is often more economical then growing cotton
Unles ur sub lv25 cuz star chance
^^ Was about to mention, that growing cotton yourself is basically money stealing. It’s way more profitable to just buy the fabric from tish when needed and use the plot spaces for something else! :)
It does save ALOT on crafter time usage
def
Hmm I never thought of that. Is there something else I could put in place of the cotton to help here and bring profit up?
I personally like growing rice for cooking parties (sashimi etc is a moneeyyyyy grower!) but if you dont like cooking parties i’ll let the smarter gardeners answer that question
Haha thanks, I've never done parties in general, I hate typing on the switch to speak 😂. I could possibly pick another quality up crop, I'm not sure how beneficial that buff is though.
Hey folks, I have tried but I am so bad at this layout thing. Anyone that can help me get a bit of everything with heavy focus on rice? Ideally it has weed prevention and water retention
Whats ur gardening lv?
Seeding bokchoi potatoes biggest money per tile per growthtick but slow on crafters
I'm 31 in Gardening just now
With starred seeds quality up doesnt exist to u
But i admit growing those white fluffballs is fun
Oh. So I can forget about that buff then? Just plant something purely for money? I'm imagining my apples and blueberries will take up my jam machines so should I maybe go with something that doesn't need them to sell?
Yes forget quality up
Processing is always more moneys
I could do more tomatoes and turn into seeds to sell maybe?
Or maybe just invest in more crafters 😂
Almost every crop is better of jarred though
Okay more crafters it is then. Is there ones that have clear better profit or much the same?
Yeay but they take way more crafter time and usually more effort
Bokchoi potato to seeds
If u count effort its all the same
Okay thanks. I'll invest a little in some more stuff to process. That's been really helpful thank you.
Your welcome
Is there a faster way to apply fertilizer than just spam clicking?
lv 3 gardening here
any tips?
using this rn
been using this rn
Using a autoclicker to spamclick
So many be back at pc soon easier to type
for lwoer levels u want water retain, harvestboost AND quality up
cotton doesnt need quality up itself though since u loom it anyways
u can 100% all the bufs i mentioned
lumpa do u need a layout or do u wanna make one urself
if u wanna know how some specific mechanic works feel free to ask here
what do you think about this?
and what is loom
its the leather and fabric maker
could be better
then maybe i need a layout xD
u can subtiture some plants for others though but i like these as they are most in sync harvests
can someone help me understand why this piece of rice isn't getting water retain ? i've used this layout for a while and haven't changed it but since a few days this one isn't getting it
this is the ONLY plant without water retain, everything else is fine
its neightbours are apple bokchoi wheat and blueberry so weedblock and harvest boost
must not have water retain fert on it
oh i see now ! should be a potato where the bok choy is, i have no idea how it got swapped
another mystery solved in this episode of gardening detective
thank you !
i've share a layout low work good rent more upstair
i’ve been using a lot of harvestboost fertilizer and now my crops are 90% starred even if i don’t put fertilizer on them, is that a bad thing? is there a way to change that or is it honestly a good thing?
-waits patiently on sylvas answer
so harvest boost only increases the amount of crops you get at harvest and has nothing to do with crops being starred or not (that's quality up fert) the chances of getting star crops goes up with your gardening level (around 20-25 you'll start getting more star crops from star seeds with 25 guaranteeing star crops , while level 38 will net you nothing but star crops even from non-star seeds). as far as if it's a "bad thing"? not really, the only problems arises from the fact that you can't gift star crops to other players that may need them and if you do cooking parties if the starter forgets to hit the "use star quality" button then the recipe is a waste
oooh that makes a lot of sense. tyty!!!!
sylva saves the day
Yes, that's right, I've noticed that too. I think they should change that. The same goes for cooking, even with non-star ingredients, I only get star dishes
wait why would u need unstarred dishes ?_? to gift to other poeple?
I help new people in the game and when they come to my house to cook, they also get the star dishes instead of the non-star dishes and for some assignments you need the non-star dishes
as in daily assignments u mean some do not trigger completed unles unstarred? u sure learn something new every day
lv 5 rn, is this still good? or there the better one?
at that low of a level, this is a great beginners layout. since you probably don't have an upgraded backpack yet, you probably need to go back to your plot often and can time it for the weeds to spawn to pick them from harming your garden (this one is fully water/harvest boosted with minimum fertilizer so you don't need to worry about watering it) the weeds are also a bit of extra gold in the beginning as well. as your level grows, this layout will eventually become obsolete as you won't need the cotton (quality up boost) after reaching around level 20. but by that time you should be able to determine what your play style is and then decide on what kind of garden that you want to continue with (money layout, cooking layout, afk layout, or a bit of everything layout) the crops themselves are all harvest ready around the same time which makes it easier to process them as well.
what money layout and etc?
the layouts that i mentioned are aimed more for mid-late game as you need to have access to all of your crafting licenses in order to process them fully. money layouts (mostly focusing on bok choy) are extremely time consuming as they need to be babysat constantly and need as many crafting slots as possible. cooking layouts tend to focus on particular cooking parties (going to other player's places and cooking the same dish such as cakes or similar for a while) which depending on which party you are interested in would dictate what crops you grow (cake parties for example would want either blueberries (if starting) or apples (if making the filling)), but either way the cooking parties will only want star quality crops to increase the price of the dish. afk layouts are for lazy people (like myself) where we can set it and forget it to do other things in the game (quests, hunting, fishing, etc.) these usually focus on crops like apples, beans and blueberries and those are the only crops that are harvested. everything crops are what they say on the tin. they have a bit of all of the crops in case the player wants to do multiple cooking items they always have a supply of the crop
btw so each fertilizer used on cotton is five?
rice maxxing
for now keeping it so i at least have one of each plant but if needs be i can swap others for more rice
sashimi parties are gonna love me

same xD I got like 400 rice just saved up for the parties xDDDDD
i love making sashimi, i haven't had the courage to join a party yet but maybe soon
Yeay cuz cotton got 5 growthstages
i see, thanks
I mean if u got a layout where u put waterretain/weedblock on cotton 4 is good dince u dont care if it gets weed and unwatered after is done growing
im planning to use aa minimum as possible fertilizer for a moment
not enough gold xD
emm do i just sell the crops in here raw?
No but inptobs made this when the website was missing the proces thing
Cotton fabric self use
Potatos seeds rest jar
Rice seeds
@slender barn This is the layout that I was using
It's good to start with, very low maintenance, costs less to buy the seeds from Zeki to replant it than you earn selling the product. You can swap out Rice for Wheat if you need that for cooking. Once you get Seed Makers and Preserves jars going, you can turn the Rice/Bok Choy/Potatos into seeds because it's a 1:4 plant to seed ratio, and the Tomatos/Corn/Onions can get turned into Jam and it'll double (give or take) what you earn from selling the unprocessed crops
and if you decide to juggle the seed makers to keep stock of star quality seeds for all of these, you earn even more
no u loom it into fabric to craft allt he stuff u gotto craft
Stuff like?
jar makers
some quests
decor(including hte decor u need for quests
btw about the potato is that mean seed first then jar or is it an option between the two? and what about the corn and napa cabbage
i see, nice tips
ok il clarify what to turn stuff into
bokchoi potato beans seeds
other u can jar, jar it
cotton fabric self use
pumpkins only grow for cooking but jar if u somehow got to many
rice wheat can only be turned into seeds
i see, so I'll consider it a mid game tips and keep that in mind. Now ehat to turn into if I'm not yet unlocked my jar
cotton fabric
everything else seeds (and if u dont need the money directly dont sell some of the seeds to sow later)
everything need money in the beginning TT, especially the crafter certificate, hella expensive, curse you eshe!
yeay but u need some seeds to resow anyways
like at least keep enuf to not have to buy from zeki and at ur lv use star seeds
well happy farming lumpa
thanks, you too, may the Phoenix and dragon bless you a bountiful harvest xD
@floral talon Here's my work in progress...
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.4_D-111-111-111_CR-Bt.WBt.WR.WBt.WBt.WCb.YR.WCb.YR.H-Bt.WBt.WCb.YBt.WBt.WR.WCb.YR.WCb.Y-R.WBt.WBt.WCb.YBt.WBt.WR.HCb.YR.W-Bt.WBt.WT.YBt.WBt.WR.WT.YR.WT.Y-A.WA.WA.WA.WA.WA.WA.WA.WA.W-T.YBt.WBt.WR.WBt.WBt.WT.YR.WT.Y-Bt.WBt.WR.WBt.WBt.WCb.YR.WCb.YR.H-Bt.WBt.WCb.YBt.WBt.WR.WCb.YR.WCb.Y-R.WBt.WBt.WCb.YBt.WBt.WR.HCb.YR.W
I'm not happy about having to reduce my apple trees down to 1 from 5, but I'm using canned beans as my focus food; same amount of focus as apple jam, but it's half the price! Bring on the profit! 😄
I will switch out a few of the beans for blueberries on a rotating schedule. My previous layout only needed Zeki's weed-block, which was about 1k per full cycle, as I had to douse everything with it. On the work-in-progress, I still need to use the weed-block, but not as much, so there's that :).
I'm jamming everything except the rice. If I switch out the cabbage for potatoes, I'll seed them.
My reasoning for this setup is 2 fold:
1, to get a lot of rice for Congee to feed the worms with and for sushi parties and the second reason is purely monetary 🙂
This setup may be more profitable than my previous 5 apple/ 4 blueberry/potato and tomato one...time will tell.
Any and all constructive input is very welcome. I struggled to make this, trying all sorts of ways to keep at least 3 apple trees, but I just couldn't do it. Thanks in advance for your help 🙂
mh seems like a very high fert usage
when comparing eating canned beans vs apple jam canned beans are actually more expensive then their pricetag says cuz ur missing oppurtunity cost of turning me into seeds since they are more money as seeds (duh is a stickler for proper accounting)
u realised all on ur own u can put benas in a layouiit and occasionally farm blueberrys in the same spot nice ur smart
ur righ ton rice being a must if u do t hose money partys $_$
turning em into congee for worms first time i hear someone do that
i recommend worming ur exces meats eggs milk shrooms foragables first and then some exces grilled fish if ur gonna campfire but hey maybe ur onto something
mh can i give u an example of how to place 2x2s into a layout for wantingf lots of hte 2x2s?
Dose any one have a layout that can give you lots of money?
sure but those always come with trade offs in effort and crafter time what would u specifically need?
Probably a decent middleground were I can log in every day and farm it all
Or like every other day
u coudl change wheat into corn and tomatoe into cabbage and everyhting will sync nicely in harvest reseed times
lv 8 now, unlocked the jar. What do you guys think? Am i ready to move on to a more advanced crop pattern? please recommend a few if yes xD
?_? u use the exact same but proces alot of stuff into jars instead of seeds thats the difference
and now ur gonna use hte cotton to make fabric to make MORE jars 😄 crafter limited is 30 btw if u got all licenses
Should i buy more license?
only got 11 crafter rn
five seed, 3 glowworm, 1crafting station,1 smelter, 1 loom and 1 saw
as soon as u wont be blocked by lack of recipes with ur gameplay /stuff u use almost immedietly yes
more crafter licenses is super useufull
its hella expensive damn, only got 4k in hand rn
get all the ingot and toolr ecipes first for sure so u dont have to wait on getting recipe
alrd fine tool all of them
ingot got till silver, not yet gold cuz i dont think I'll be using it soon, wdy think?
way to go lumpa its up to u idk either when exactly u start needing it
bag sizes is also super important
so napa cabbage get me 60g/each and napa kimchi also 60, where's the profit lmao
uhm u probs misread something
think ur comparing starred bokchoi kimchi with unstarerd cabbage kjiomchi or osmtehing
ahh
damn fr tyty
Does anyone know if pink and mixed hydrangeas are currently obtainable?
Pink idk
Mixed are sometimes rewarded u can get more seeds by requesting em and then if someone gifts fully grown those are received as seeds making the seeds duplicatable since fully growing em gives seeds back
Tysm!!
Mixed is a quest reward only (I don't rememberwhich quest though), also sometimes part of twitch drops or log in rewards
eh, should i change my cotton then?
Should I sell the seeds that have stars on them??
keep enough to replant, and sell the rest
Nah u stil need the quality up buff
there's others crop i thought?
Pumpkin and spicypeper but 2x2s are real difgicult to make a nice layout with and are for use in cooking and u need like 1 plant of those tonlast u super long unless u do specific cooking party roles but then u grow tons
ah dang
mb, u thought it the same as cotton xD
btw how often do i need to check my crop? and should i harvest whenever possible or mass harvest them together?
Up to u if harvest when all done or when one thing is done
Growthticks are at 0600 ingame time and one time after so check when login and after 0600 happened when logging out
i understand 06.00 in game, but what about one time after?
what's that about xD
your crops grow at 0600 ingame time when YOU ARE ONLINE
and ONE TIME AFTER!
after what brooo, dang it I'm sorryyy😭
after logging out
its ok i understand the confusion
ahhh icic, so the progress stop after one more tick after player logged out? am i correct?
Heyho, I know it's suboptimal, but its easy to remember, easy to setup and covers a few good crops. I don't want to think about what to plant where, so rows make it very simple. If someone has good suggestions, I'm all ears ^^
do you harvest everything? or do you just focus on the apples and blueberries?
So far I've been harvesting everything, make enough seeds to replant and wing it for the rest, some get turned into Jam, some into seeds
ah, was going to say if you just do apples and blues that there's an afk layout where they are fully weed/water/harvest boosted and you could ignore the other crops. but if you're happy with the ease of the replanting with this one since you harvest everything then it's fine
Okay, can you just leave potatos and tomatos there fully grown to get the water retain on the other crops?
yep, you can leave any crop in the ground and still get the boosts.
Woah that's really useful, thank you ^^
it does cost u getting nothing produced at that tile th ough
and if u have to much weeds nothing grows even when its on the tile su dont use
this is the layout i was talking about. you can actually swap the blueberries for beans (as they provide the same boost)
That's a really cool layout. I should look more into what you can do ^^
Ah okay, sounds like investing in weed prevention really pays off
having 9 weeds total casues some memory bug so it wont save growing
Huh, I'll keep that in mind, thank you 🙂
though the layout that i showed does allow all of the water retain plants to have weeds on them without harming the layout. so if you just focus on the apples and blue/beans you don't need to do anything else with the layout
it is good enough to just focus on that both?
must admit this is what I plant - for jams and food buffs 🙂
At least swap beans and peppers places so ur beans get harvestboost
will do the next round 🙂
should i change the rice with wheat?
up to u
wheat is more money per growthtick then corn though if u process both compared
what is this? the cost? and why compare it to corn instead of rice
rice ie best and u often need a buddy to buff hte rice itself
buff? cooking party?
?_? no u give the harvest boost buff to a plant by using a plant
to get rice to have the buff harvest boost which rice itself hand to its neighbours it needs a buddy like corn or wheat
why are we tlaking about cooking partys ?_?
idk tbh, confused ahahaha
it will make more sense each question dont worry about it
no, i mean the rice and whear give the same buff to it's neighbor buddy right? that's why it's just appears in my mind
but if rice does is better than wheat then I'll stick with it
yes and a plant cannot give a buff to itself or the exact same type plant
so u cant do rice+rice for example
i mean u could if u use fertiliser but thats more work and ruins the advantage of rice over wheat anyways
what is rice advantage over wheat?
wut corn is the same as wheat i never knew that
well nayways this is how i use the layout planner ot compaare stuff for me
whattt, same in what
money per growthtick post processing
ahhh
so we compare thr avg icic
what do you think of this? is this mean after became pickle it better to turn it into worm again?
man one day i really hsoudl make a full what can u proces stuff into list and how much does it add
i mean that would take so much crafter time ul quickly run out of crafter time
hmm, so just stay and sell as pickle?
yeya sell stuff as pickle and seeds
i mean maybe if u get very few harvest per week in u can do wroming to once u got way more crafters
need that ahahahah, im sometimes confused with my math myself xD
like this is why ijust do rules of thumb no thinking smooth brain happy
what is best i turn into worm btw? rn I'm just using my recess meat
that and other exces stuff and grilled exces fishes(do select manually u dotn wanna girll ur maws unels its for flex)
flexing?
so if u grill ur maws ur either making a mistake or ur doing it for hte bragging rights of having ridicoulously expensive grilled fish
Somewhat even mix of everything here, anyone want to have a play around to see if they can squeeze more harvest boost out if it? I don't want to drop the harvest boost, quality or water retain on the apples, blueberries, beans, pumpkins or peppers though..
U need a minmaxed everything?
I do a lot of cooking which uses a mix of all crops, never need to worry about changing my planting layout if everything is in there
I've spent hours perfecting my layout for efficiency and max gold across a mix of crops and utilising buffs etc
U dont see many with 2 of each 2x2
U could compare to this
Though its one of each large
Is there a way to un-till soil?
Have to wait 48irl hours and not have a plant on it after the 48hours
If pickup make sure no fert on soil
what do you think should i do? So i jar my cabbage and corn, should i also turn them into seed for the next harvest or just buy unstarred seed from zeki?
and fokus to turn them all to pickle
1 cabbage makes 6 seeds so imo you just need to save a couple at most and then jar the rest! i cannot speak on corn but i do the same as cabbage for the rest of my crops
zekis prices are an absolute scam make ur own seeds first then jar the excess on most things
Actually i always do this, just that idk why but i forgot to put one corn into my seed collector and in denial i come here in hope people indeed do buy from that chat xD
guess not
u gained more knowledge
btw, can we distannce the garden soil? or it'll break the buff?
they need to be snapped together or it wont give buffs acros borders
that's explain it xD, notice why my corn dont get the harvest boost from the rice
is that will like that until next cycle of farm?
or it'll be just fixed in the next tick?
did u snap em the game might take some time to realise it
and i mean snapped together not just next to each other
if u try to move it u can press move group and hten u see whats connected
all good
btw do you have a good layout for afk and for stacking up ingredients for cooking?
Scroll up till first picture
can i ask? why not onion, tomato, and wheat?
duhscape likes the quick growing crops (the ones in the layout usually grow within 3-4 hours of playing, while the crops you mention take longer. you can always swap out same buff crops for each other though
Okay so fertilizer... when is it the best time to apply it? At the beginning? The end right before I pluck the crop?
Cause I when I place it down at the start, Ill see the plant gets a buff then a Palia day later, the fertilizer is gone and the plant has no buff but its not finished growing
Each farming square can have one type fertilizer applied at a time, but you can stack up to 99 fertilizers of the same type on a single square. Each square will consume 1 fertilizer per growth cycle. In order to achieve full benefit of fertilizer, it needs to be consumed every day. E.g. fertilizing a potato (5 day crop) only 4 times with harvest boost fertilizer will give 4/5 chance of getting bonus yield. -palia wiki
keep in mind that the amount of fertilizer does depend on how many tiles the crop takes up, for example the 2x2 plants will take 4 fert per "day" while apples will require 9
Wait so I can place multiple fertilizers (of the same type) on a square? And it stacks for each revolving "day"?
yep, up to 99 on the crop
99 ferts on one square? Daaaaang okay
and no, there is no auto stack function, you're going to be clicking 99 times to drop all that fert onto the tile
hell naw
Huh... this changes everything
icic, I'll consider the layout after level up to 25 then. Needed the ingredient but can't do it rn cuz I'm still in need of the quality improve
it's why a lot of the layouts that we recommend will try to have harvest boost as high as possible with as little fert use. out of all the buffs, harvest boost is/should be the top priority as it grants more crops which equals more gold as it gives +50% the normal harvest. for example, an apple tree normally gives only 16 apples per harvest, but with harvest boost you'll get 24 per harvest. 4 apple trees harvest boosted will grant 96 apples per harvest round
What do you recommend I do with apples? Ive just been making jelly and either sell that or feed it to make glow worms.
And all the popular cooking parties for bean burgers, sushi, poke bowls, and/or celebration dont need apples
i do apples to jam and sell the jam
Does planting gold seeds yield a higher rate of gold produce?
I'm just getting started with the bean seed cycle to make a profit and I want to make sure I'm doing it right. Should I be planting only golds?
Starred Seeds have a bonus 25% chance for you to get starred crops when harvesting, so yeah, generally better to use starred seeds
Oh I didn't know that, thank you so much!!
what sylva said
is this a question or statement?
statement though i do often forget the question mark on questions
ahahaha
is there a way to put these seeds in an app and it spits out the most optimal layout? or do i have to manually do it
Nope theres a website we use to help make layouts
And optimal for what?
money! i know of https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app but i was wondering if i could just insert how many seeds i have and it gives me a layout so i dont have to try a bunch of layouts
Uhm im that app xd
any good 4 mony making >any tips 2 make it better >?
i gues u could replace the corner wheat with potato
thats it for real
and when u level up enuf u stop needing the quality up fert
if we want to compare layout do we consider the total or average gold per tick?
i want to say the growth tic total, as the total would be for the full growth tics (the last number given in the top bar). that number is assuming you are actually online for that many hours straight as the crops only grow one stage when you are offline
damn, forget about that, need to take it into consideration
btw are there any way to know how much money we got in accordance to hours we playin?
how are we looking? Mostly trying to optimize most gold with having produce for bean burgers/cake parties
damn 81d
That number doesn't feel right, but I guess it's a good thing I use a lot of my crops for cooking if it is lol.
damn guys, is it normal to have 100k+ a day
If you log on every hour to harvest your garden and put stuff in processors, you would still struggle to hit 100k per irl day with gardening simply because you wouldn't have enough crafters to process everything, so you would have to sell a lot of stuff raw.
100k per irl day without gardening isn't so hard, but it really depends on how much you play and what activities you do.
If you mean 100k per in-game day, that isn't so easy
Just over 4k per tick is around what you'd expect for a layout like that. There's 4 HB fert next to Beans that are unnecessary (2 next to the Beans on the bottom edge, 2 next to the one on the top edge)
the 81 days is because of the 180 growth tics section. basically, if you tended to your garden for 180 growth tics without processing anything and decided to do all of the processing at the end, it would take you 81 irl days to process all of your produce with how ever many crafters you put into the planner
What is everyone's recommendations on a layout for a money farm with 10 preserves jars, 4 seed makers, and 7 worm farms available. I am level 51 currently. I've been doing my all napa cabbage kimchi setup with alternating fish for cash and fish for harvest boost fert for a while and it's been going well. Playing around with the garden planner and was wanting to know if there was something I could be doing better.
I'm going for no overhead/no seed buying due to the seed hoppers
everyone has a different "money" layout as any layout can generate gold as long as you tend to the garden.
if you want pure hardcore gold and don't mind babysitting the layout a field full of bok choy (either with harvest boost fert on every tile or strategically placed rice/wheat/corn to provide boost) and turn them all into seeds is the "ultimate" gold garden. but it needs a lot of babysitting as the seeders can only hold 16 stacks of crop before being clogged.
if you're a more social butterfly and like to go to cooking parties to get your gold, then the layouts should reflect what party you're going to and the role that you want to perform at each.
or, if you're more interested in just exploring the world around you, doing quests and such an afk layout would be something more ideal.
i go with the afk layout myself
i gave my personal recommendation 😄
honestly, i stopped playing again shortly after the husbandry update
I'll have to try both of these thanks so much. Yeah I'm not really into the husbandry. I'm definitely more into fishing and mining. I find both more relaxing
ranching is so stressfull
It really is. The focus food alone to keep them fed is enough to drive me bonkers
Like why am I feeding a bee soup
and if u dont breed em in time they get venerated and ur lef t without ur trait bred one
- the game forces u into the fashion route cuz otherwise u dont get enuff reincarni treats
with the layout that i posted, i actually swapped out two of the blueberries for beans as they give the same buff (and are worth a bit more in gold). the bushes and trees are afk, and those are the only things i harvest (apples and the two bean plants) and unless you care about the aesthetics of the grown crops everything else can be ignored. i use 2 seeders (one for apples and apple seed storage, the other for bean production) and then 8 preserve jars (apple jams
100 percent right there
how many seed collector and preserves jar do i need?
i know there's a math system for it to determine how many you need, but it's not like we can say "oh, 5 of each is all you need" because it would be different for every one. me for example that only harvests apples and beans only need 2 seeders (one for apples seed storage and the other for beans) and then 8 preserve jars for apples
im using 13 seeder and 4 preverse jar for this, is it too much?
btw how much seed i need to keep
Get more jars
always keep enough to replant, then sell the rest
Hello all, I have a dumb question before I spend a lot of guild coins. The well you buy from Badruu. We can fill our watering can from it right?
yes!
Ahh good, cos I didt want to get it if it was purely decor lol
its hte only medal decor that has a use
if not from all decors
i mean the other ones go tuses but not like mechanics more like we use em for stuff
how many?
are 30 okay? I'm always afraid the seed didn't get produced enough till next cycle so always keep around 60, is that too much?
everytime u cant jar something add another jar
60 is fine
what about the seeder? is it too much?
everytime u have to seed something and they cant keep up add anothe rone
so if an example, i have 30 cabbage left in inventory, add more jar?
Any idea why the seed collector say i lack the material when trying to make seed of a blueberry?
u need to put a certain amount in till it cna make seeds or something
So... more blueberries?
Does anyone have an all ingredients garden layout that produces equal (or somewhat equal) star quality and regular ingredients? I’ve got plenty of star qualities but I’m struggle to get just some regular carrots 😅
u get 25% star chance at lv 0
+25% with star seeds
+2% per level
+50% with quality up
so thats means ur lv makes sure u wont get unstarred yey (this is really awkward when u wanna gift stuff or forget to click the allow starred when cooking)
Ah I see. Yeah that is really awkward 🥲😅 ty
u do not need starred foragables to cook if ur hitting that mark
Nah, I just like to have a good supply of both, mainly for gifting.
Ahhh the struggles of being addicted to playing loll
thats really sweet though
u know getting more star selling it leaves enuff extra money to buyt he very few of the buyable unstarred u would need to gift
u can sitll get some unstarred apples blueberrys with ranodm zeki coin/rummage rewards or buy emw ith gardening medals
Ooo good point!
Thank you! Didn’t think of that lol
do keep plenty of gardening medal income to buy an ungodly amount of wells though
yep, you can see the amohnt you need in the seed collector
Hi, i'm looking for the best choise to breed Glow worms with HarvestBoostMax for time need and price item used.
Actually the Shepp pie give 2 worms per hour and Celebrate cake give 3 worms & QualityBoost fertilizer
Exces meats shrooms eggs milk other foragables
Grilles exces fish
hey does anyone have a layout for most weeds ? im trying to do the 1k weed achivement
No weedblock but stuff planted its all the same weedwise weeds cap at 9
I wonder if the weeds from the flower bloom event count? Because literally no one does those anymore so you could pluck lots from there lol
specially if theres 2 events active on the map you can rack up that counter fast
Could test it if u dont got ur schivement yet
I’ll try it next time I see it!
Hello! Does anybody have a good layout for maximum exp? Or is it just all apples?
All crops give 4 exp per slot per day of growth. Regrowing crops give exp based on total grow time divided by number of harvests on each harvest. - Palia wiki.
so, it's up to you if you want quick growing crops with or long lasting crops. it's all the same. just remember that you only get exp from harvesting your crops
the number of harvest on each harvest? the resulting corps? or what
Do I need to use multiple weed block fertilizers for each plant, or is one enough to stop weed growth?
One per growthtick per tilesize
Does harvest boost make vegetables/fruits starred?
no it just increases the yield by 50%
it has a chance of proccing based on how much of hte time it was present but its usually always present so +50% produce
Thank you!
What are the most profitable crops to grow?
does anyone else have a bug where harvest boost fertilizer will just disappear from a soil plot randomly?
Yes
Has there been talk of the choice of sprinklers by chance?
That would be so helpful, watering gets so tedious
we can make fully self wateringh layouts though (with some expceptions as to when u eneed to water it)
any spicy chili layout recommendation?
hmmm, should i use this?
mannn, duhscape layout all good, what should i choose to go through damn it 😭
I dont have that the only dish layouts i got are rice or burger or fruit
eh, where you get it then
get what?
You want a spicy pepper layout or a veggie chili layout? Cause spicy chili is neither a crop nor a dish in the game
If you meant veggie chili then I just made this one (you can cut the fertilizer cost in half if you fertilize only the pepper bushes)
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.4_D-111-111-111_CR-P.HTBtCOBtBtBtCr-BtCrCBtTP.HCOS.H-O.HS.HS.HT.HS.HS.HS.HO.HT.H-BtBtTCrTO.HCP.HS.H-PCrS.HCRPS.HCrC-S.HC.HPT.HOCrOBtBt-O.HT.HS.HS.HS.HO.HS.HS.HT.H-S.HTPC.HOBtPCrBt-CrBtBtBtTPBtOC.H_D360GtL75
all good, just need for night sku temple bundle
im trying this, anything in particular i need to keep in mind?
Dont think so
Hey Palians, Would someone mind explaining to me how to properly use Quality up furtilizer? When using it im only getting like 1 stared vegetable.
what is more profitable
this one ot the one before that using cotton
Starred vegetables also take into account your gardening lv
My gardening is level 7
Cotton is for lower levels as it needs the quality up
It increases ur star chance per produce
Is it worth it to put star ⭐️ vegetables back into the seeder for ⭐️ seeds?
Just want to make sure I’m being as productive as possible.
Also when planting ⭐️ veggies I give it harvest boost and non ⭐️ get quality up?
yup cuz starred seeds more starred produce till u reach a level at which u dont get unstarred produce but hten itst tsill cheaperr to make starred seeds then to buy unstarred ones
yep but i just noticed that cabbage sell more than bok choy
but bokchoi(edit) grows twice in the time cabbage does once
