I am struggling cooking on the stove on the switch. The circle goes around and around and even though I am hitting the button when the blue ball is in the circle it still just goes around a thousand times which ruins the recipe. Bok Choy Kimchi can be obtained by adding Bok Choy into a Preserves Jar. It will take 36 minutes to craft.
There is also Napa Cabbage Kimchi that uses Napa Cabbage in Preserves Jar. This will take 48 minutes to craft.

ok howare u stuck on the minigame sik they can be glitchy and sometimes switch can be apain and there can be other reasons why ucan literly not do it

i don't really have problems with the minigames glitching, it's more just that there's a lot to juggle and (at least to me) it's unclear what order you're supposed to do the steps in

some dishes are abit more complicated yeay but u have the final product which may need some spice mix but hte spice mix needs chopped spices so its like a recipe in a recipe so just lkook at what the final thingy needs and how each worktable close so it shows what it needs

u can get stuck on a infinite overprep loop

i'm not sure what level you are but practicing cooking overall does help and as you level up you memorize how to do the tasks quicker! but also making sure you're using star quality ingredients when you can as that helps increase chances of getting star quality as well

and then cooking with another person or two is often what people go for since the quicker you cook the recipe the higher chance you have of getting started quality!

Yah I do, like every box is checked with the amount of required items and I have enough prep stations oven and stove but when I press A on the switch to like press that option it doesn’t continue and I can press other buttons or come off that screen like normal, it’s not freezing it just won’t let me

this depends on what your goal is! if your goal is focus food then that depends on your focus level! but if your goal is money than cooking solo is not the way to go! cooking is really only profitable in cooking parties!

So I am doing it for money for my friend who just started (trying to sponsor him a bit), but since he's new he won't have many of the ingredients I need so I'll be doing 90% of the work and paying for pretty much all the ingredients (or using my own supply). I'm pretty sure you can only catch fish stew outside of the fishing nodes, I could be wrong though, but that would explain why you haven't gotten it yet, since you have clearly only been catching starred fish

You need to complete the Extravagant Expectations quest from Eshe. After the party for Subira, you need to talk to them in their room at the Inn. After that the quest is complete and you will receive the congee recipe 🩷

a lot of food is not really profitable solo? starred grilled meat sells for 39 each and that's double what meat sells for regularly! you could also use the meat to make a bunch of focus food for yourself depending on what your focus level is

depending on how new to the game you are, you start at the campfire and consistently use that until you unlock the stove and the prep station! as you cook more you'll level up and unlock new recipes and stations!

so for most theyre often like cake or focus food parties and what happens is everyone signs up for a role and only does that role! you dont need to bring any items with you since you can only cook with items in your chest, so you will stand at your assigned station and repeatedly do the steps until youre done!

to answer your question about cooking with others, the person who starts the recipe needs the starter ingredients, and then each person just needs the ingredients for the step theyre doing! for example if you were rolling the dough for bread and i was chopping spice sprout, you would only need wheat, and i would only need spice sprouts!

there's no way to guarantee star quality as it's all rng based! the things that increase your chances are star quality ingredients and how quickly you cook the dish not everything has to be starred, starred fruits and vegetables are the easiest!

I was offline, sorry. If you can hit every other one it's still fast enough, I always get starred. I do the same thing with the proschapaa in the muujin bahari. I was slow on the recipe at first but more practice helped. I have made it a lot for focus so it's easier now. There are no penalties for doing that, just have to be as fast as possible!

the roles and acronyms in cake parties are:
1 starter
4 sweet leafers /SL + any overprep/OP (some groups will allow extra sweet leafs just so people get 1 action in on the cooking)
3 fruit frosters /FF
1 (regular) froster
3 batters

3 oven/bakers
3 spreaders

some groups will have "separate oven/spread", some will do "ovens also spread", and some will lock those roles entirely & the people who join for other roles will be randomly selected to multitask oven/spread roles. depends on how small of a group they want / how fast they want roles to fill up, etc, but generally a full party is 18 people + any overprep people

Is there a way to make sure you cook a non-starred version of a dish? I see people asking for dishes for donations and I'd like to give them, but I have almost all starred ingredients and it doesn't seem to matter how often I miss a chop or wait till the last few seconds, I still end up with a starred dish.

in my experience the longer you take to cook the dishes the less likely you are to get star so just taking longer would be something to try!

You gotta catch rare or epic bugs to obtain it afaik. I don't think you can buy it anywhere.

So you can use buzzy jars to track those down 😃

Just be mentally prepared to see them appear and also disappear from your compass quite a bit, as people are either doing the same or they're scaring them off as they are not hunting for bugs themselves 😅 That's my experience with them at least. Still doable to collect a fair amount though!

cooking mass amounts of focus food that benefit you and your current focus level is the best way imo as you can eat the focus food later after leveling up your skill if you want to cook solo if you want to cook with others i recommend cake parties or other cooking parties!

For kitchen cooking, the base experience granted is based on the time allotted for the recipe (recipe timer in seconds minus 20), except the recipes added for Luna New Year don't adhere to the formula.

All campfire recipes give 20 base XP (plus focus bonus), and can go as fast as 5 seconds per recipe if you set up multiple campfires. So, don't underestimate grilling all your fish you were going to sell anyway - it adds up quick for minimal time commitment.

But cake parties where you're getting 280 XP PLUS your focus bonus per round, and each round can be less than a minute? speedy speedy.

• Sashimi for starred top-tier rares (667g⭐ sell value: cloudfish and blue spotted rays) and lower-tier epics — rice overprep
• Fish stew (with heat root) for the unstarred rare glow worm fish (400g+ sell value) and lower-tier epics - mostly as a way of sharing money with newer players — garlic overprep.
  Everything else gets grilled and/or direct sold :D

Yep. And it doesn't give the full sell value, either. Leaves out the ginger and wild green onion (about 101g worth of stuff), so it's worth about 20% less than it should be...

ALL of the LNY recipes are buggy

Though in the case of LBF, it also gives as much XP per round as a NINE MINUTE 20s recipe (it's actually 7m)

It's also something like minimum 2 minutes per recipe because the flips are on pretty spaced-out timers. Very irritating recipe, 25 freaking roles, 4 timed flips, and it maxes out at 259g⭐. And five people have to chop green onion.

so the harder the recipe the more xp you gain! i dont know the exact amounts, but they may be listed somewhere in this channel! if youre looking to raise your cooking skill faster, i recommend either cooking a bunch of focus food for your personal focus level so that you benefit from cooking all of it, or joining a cake/cooking party if your want to cook with others!

fruit is unlocked by leveling up the gardening skill, randomly through dialogue, or by chance from the rummage piles and zeki's wonderous machine! if you want you can cook with others who do have the fruit and you both will get the dishes
