I cooked a few recipes with someone for the first time yesterday, what's the proper way to cook with someone exactly ? Cause we were both preparing the same ingredients it felt a bit pointless. It wasn't a difficult recipe tho

usually when i've helped people cook something, i'll start it and see which station they go to (if you can talk with your cooking partner that's better) then i go to the other station that is needed to do the tasks there.

Yeah that's probably why, only some chopping was needed. If we're both using the same station, can we see what the person is currently chopping so we don't double ?

with easy recipes (and i mean the ones using max 4-5 ingredients) i sometimes just say which ingredients i'll do. when i know i'm cooking with someone who hasn't cooked a lot i pick the ones from the bottom of the ingredients list because i know they'd usually go for the ones that are the first from the top. splitting stations is another way for sure. and you can see which ones were already prepared (ones with the hand icon here), which were added (the checked off ones) and which are left to do (the 0/1) ones

there's also another icon when someone has it picked but hasn't done it yet and might change still what ingredients they're doing but i'd say the red 0/1 is the most important one to look at so you kno what steps still need to be done

When you see the "people" icon on the food being prepared or mixed, it means the other person is already prepping it, the hand icon means it is already done; if you wait a second to see what they're doing first on the chopping station (for example), then you can click on the food item on your list which shows the black circle/red number - means not yet done. (can't guarantee there won't be mix ups and double ups though - it's best to be in Discord and communicating with each other).

How do I get “Any Fish” I have a bunch of fish I caught but don’t know how to get to where I can cook them. I have all the prep stations.

Prep station u may have to enable "quality ingredients"

Check all your cook stations make sure ye got enough o dem etc etc

it just means it will take any fish out of your inventory on its own to cook the recipe. It will take your giant goldfish or unicorn fish or whatever so if you have epic fish and can, put them in your lockbox to protect them. I put the fish I want to use in my inventory bar and it will use that. Be careful not to push the use quality ingredients unless you have a star fish in your inventory bar or it will take your good fish.

you can craft because you have the items that are required to start the recipe. the other ingredients you can get from other players. and yes you can start the recipe, you just can't finish it so you'd get ruined food. i think it has a pop up if you try to cook that mentions you don't have all of the ingredients but other people can cook with you if they have it

I grow an apple farm and the more I level the higher chance I have to get more starred produce. But I can't mix and match it with other ingredients I am not good at. I know the answer is get good lol. But it seems weird I cant use my better quality ingredients with more versatility.

Also side complaint I like to help people out with their gift needs and I cant gift starred things.

you can mix and match! just select star quality and it will work and you can select the ingredients when you're prepping

it will use star quality first and then use regular for the rest

the best example is spice sprouts! so if you have star quality for every other ingredient but normal spice sprouts, you'll just click use star quality ingredients and it will use the regular spice sprouts

you asked that long ago so idk if you have an answer already but it's part luck, part having starred ingredients and cooking it as fast as possible. so you can have all star ingredients and dish end up not starred or have no starred ingredients and still end up with dish being starred. i've also seen people say your level influences your chances of getting food starred

yeah so the person starting the recipe has to have the starting ingredients, and then if someone wants to mix sweetleaf, they need to have sweetleaf! but if someone is just stirring they dont need any ingredients ! at the end as long as they helped with one step both people get the dishes!

You’ll see a message pop up on the server chat. It will say FT (Flow Tree) or Grove (bunch of flow trees). Go to the location and there typically be a bunch of people. Go around and hit each tree once.

How do cooking parties work? How do you know which items need to be cooked if there is more than 1 person?

in organized cooking parties everyone signs up for a specific role and you only do the role you are assigned. so for a cake party, if youre a "leafer" youre only going to bring sweetleaf and only do the sweetleaf step the entire time !

this transfers to other dishes and other roles as well depending on the party

Has something changed with unspoken grooves rules? It useally was like someone annouced it, you either wait for 3am or until everyone is there. But yesterday i joined a map and the groove was left next to the entrance from plot. people already chopped at 0:30 so not even a minute since spawn. I was a bit mad and left and reentered plot and go again to bahari where the groove was also close and people started chopping at not even 02am ingame time. i was super sad to miss both

The best and easiest way to level up cooking is to Join a cooking party for Celebration Cakes. You only have to do one or two things (since you are part of a team) You do not even have to have the recipe to join. Focus food helps but I went up 7 levels my first party.

Don't forget to work on your Focus Bonus Rate too. That is extra XP just for having food in your focus bar.

When Maxed, you will earn 2x XP,

level twice as fast, if you have the food.

cake parties are primarily used for money making or skill leveling! the 3 dish quest can be done solo but practicing cooking will help you be able to complete the dishes better i would personally practice and level up cooking using various focus food recipes for your current focus level since they will have more variety in their steps compared to cakes!

as for the 3 dishes you can also find another person or two in here or in game chat to cook with for the quest!

its not a dumb question, weeklys are accomplishments that resets every week, u get them when u reach lvl 10 of the skills concerned. i hope you understand, i explain really bad 😭

Some of the NPC's will ask for them as weekly wants and one of the bundles asks for it.

after watering enough, it takes around 15 days of watering. you won't get seeds from chopping
