Using a floor tile to anchor them, you'd ghost the tile to the floor and place all these log cabin screens on it. That would sink them the right height

yeah I saw another streamer use it like that as well, I do not know who started it, but it's been confusing a lot of new glitchers, glitching is already intimidating when you're starting and getting different responses from people doesn't help. I've seen a few people ask about ghosting and be told that it no longer works, when later on you figure out that they just wanted to cancel something

since there is no glitching dictionary or an academy to settle on all these terms or no way to actually enforce it

Well 90% of the glitches people are using have been found by two people - voidness and a Tiny Dragon. Although way more people done tutorials on these glitches after that, but it always have been called ghost trick, cause you end up having ghost rooms on another plot you can't use. And UPH - the community where these glitches came from (this is not me promoting it btw), does and always had a spreadsheet with all the known advanced decorating methods and this has been called ghosting for two years. Not that it needs enforcing, but the methods are different and just add to the confusion that glitching is

In my experience, obstacle flick doesn't work with floor items.

The only thing I think will work would be to place it on the building blocks while outside, and then move all of the blocks inside with the rug on top. Canceling the placement of the rug elsewhere before doing so.

i am following a video, trying to learn how to float plushies. she says to use the ghosting technique which i just learned but it doesn't seem to be working and i can't figure out why. I rotated the shelf 90 degrees, hovered the paver on the floor, selected the plush using a hot key, and then tried to place it with my second confirm placement hot key which is v, but the plush doesn't stick to the paver - hope that makes sense >< is anyone able to advise me please?

Ghosting ? That's not the right term for what you're trying to achieve... It's the cancellation method You take out your plush to cancel the placement of the paver away, but you can press esc and reselect the hotkey with your plush to place it down (It's juts Palia being a bit annoying sometimes when taking things out of your hotbar and not wanting to place it down)

It's a trickier method but it gives you the ability to put anything anywhere (within the plot grid) and anchor anything to anything It'll be easier to watch a tutorial to understand it tho

No, you only get the pre-made item. We all wish we either could buy the recipes for more gold or even a catalog 😭 You have to keep going back if you want a certain item and hope you get lucky server jumping

So Tish's store are pre-made craft-able items that you can buy but their recipes are obtainable. Zeki's is different as he sells specific item (rugs, wall art, bathroom items, screens, the arcade machine) that don't have obtainable recipes besides the log screen that pops up down there (Think this is the only craft-able that's in his furniture rotation, don't remember if he also sells the Ravenwood screen which is also craft-able)

Thats new... As far as i know, theres no way to place any crafters (including chests) at the attic of grandhouse only, that the second floor building were the limit where to place them. But I've seen people said grand harvest house is weird recently.

All i can suggest for you is to not place any of the chests or any crafters outside the second floor's available space. Or if you still want to place it on the builder's floor there at the center then you might want to try canceling method with red presents as the base (anchor).

The decor may be on the way, use canceling method to put away all your decor first outside, then you can place your house.

As said above, functionals (crafters, cooking, storage chests) need to be on the ground, either directly in the placeable space of a house/room or if on builder's blocks they need a direct path to ground

I wish we could pin comments, because this is frequently asked question. Chests, stoves, ovens, preserve jars etc are functional items and needs to be attached to the ground first then floated, to make them stay on places like those.

Otherwise they will yeet back to your spawn point.

That is ”anchorless” since the floor piece is cancelled to the ground

One way is just like in this Mortis’s lamps picture, floating the stuff. But make sure, like Snark Hunter said, they need a direct path (with the anchor) to ground.

I just taught myself how to use a dessert plate as an anchor to rotationally float a shelf. Never knew this could be done. I was just messing around and did it. You learn something new every day, lol. No more ugly floor/wall pieces.
