I think you can only request items that you have found already in game. But based on the items in your requests list, it seems like you are not just starting out ... so I don't know why you cannot request more. It might be a bug

This is currently a bug alongside the accomplishment list being blacked out. Some people can't request items unless they buy/earn them in their current session. I've had this bug since 1.167- it has nothing to do with friend requests.

Once I had read mail I got a quest from Ashura Plank by Plank to build a basic sawmill. Aren't star quality tomatoes (and other items) supposed to give you more glow worms now? I left 4 machines with 7 star quality tomatoes overnight and each machine only had 7 glow worms after they finished

@hasty crystal If you have completed the Fire Bundle you should have one piece of the Emberborn on your crafting table. Don't look in furniture as it won't show up you have to scroll through the All category. It's near to the bottom of the list, or it was for me.
