They have to be home at the same time, and you can't build there or anything, but can water their crops, chop trees, etc. if they give you the technical permission to do so and you can cook together (and get the full food from it).

sashimi and sushi is nice for glow worm farms, pick the right fish and you'll get a decent amount
for sashimi, most pond fish works pretty well unless you're using a normal worm farm then idk

Depends what you want to do with them. Star quality ones can be placed in your home. You need 5 uncommon star quality ones for a quest. They are also good for cooking if you’re into that
