Most games don't use true random number generation, since it's hard to do that on a computer. Instead most games use pseudo random number generation. What it does is takes some number (like the server's system time) and does complex maths on it so that the outputs appear random. It's still random enough for gaming purposes and you typically don't need actual true random numbers unless you're doing security stuff.

I stay rank 1 in the mini game, best tips I have is headphones because you can hear the audio cue before they spawn and in what direction. I memorized the spawns so I know which audio cue will spawn one then just obliterate your F key. I hold shift W to sprint in circles to keep moving between the spawns while spamming F.

You cannot build the fireplace on its own, you have to connect it to a harvest house

Use it and then you have to place it on one of the ‘joints’ of the house (green dots)! Then it will show up on your plot with a sign to add the building materials!

If you’re on PC, click the fireplace in the housing inventory (it should look like a blueprint outline) and then connect it anywhere to your house that you can. Then exit your housing inventory. When you move to where you placed the fireplace it’ll have a sign to contribute materials to it. Once the materials have been contributed it will build itself after a certain length of time! Once built, if you want to remove it you can and it won’t need to be ‘rebuilt’ when you place it again
