I’ve gotten 1 vote on my plot in the last 16 hrs and that was from my friend. I’m at 17/50 this week. Very disappointed in the system that’s in place.

The problem with turning off reactions is that people won't want to come back. Though, it can be limited to only bot reactions and responding to those (and not reacting any additional reacts), but I don't know if that's our goal here.

More than having Guidelines and hourly reminders to not react before doing so in-game, there's nothing us mods can do. At this point, we need a drastic change, or we just leave it be and have users constantly complaining about it (understandably so).

The idea of the channel was that you pick a person and react to all of them as you go down, not ask for react back because I reacted to you. That way everyone would have gotten reacts and they don't need to search for people to react.

The people in the channel changing the rules made them end up with less reacts

There's issues with both sides because if you limit it just to asking and reacting to the people posting, then there's no incentive for that person to go and vote. If Palia had more of an incentive in-game to vote for people apart from 5 weekly votes, then I could see it being more worthwhile.

The game just doesn't sustain the "vote out of kindness" that it wants to because there's a small cap on the rewards.

I actually got more votes this week with the vote exchange system than I did last week, so it's unfortunate that people aren't having the same luck. The system was half baked for sure and we're all (mods included and especially) just trying to make the best of a crappy hand. I do admire the way the community comes together to try to figure things out like this. Just hope the system gets modified and they hear the feedback this time around.

Here's the thing: That will be a problem regardless of whether you have it set to react with what you vote for or whether you set it as vote for vote.
People want to hear that you're doing something for someone else to incentivize them to vote for you.

But let's think this through: if enough reports come in, and we start actioning rulebreakers, we won't be a able to do more than just blacklist them from the channel (as anything else would be too much). In this case, they'd have no supported space for asking for Reacts, and they will flood other channels (like it happened initially).

Honestly, for me, Palia was about building and decorating for others to visit. But the system forces you to get reactions to get the prizes. I have played it since it came out and this is demotivating, to the point of stopping decorating, if in the end, it is vote by vote. (Sorry my english).

I’ve seen many ppl give fake votes. There were people spelling their name wrong (and I always look at different options) and they still vote for it (and to me as well). Today I did get almost 30 check marks but less then real 10 votes. Also many people don’t react while they say they do. Have seen so many plots I forget all those names so I’ve made double votes. I came here to vent about the home tour reaction channel and see other people are having the same issues. It's so frustrating last week I had to work SO hard to get to 50. I reacted to way more plots then votes I received through the week. Just constantly having 10+ people say they reacted it's starting to feel so disheartening when I go and look at my plot and only received like 3 new votes. I love helping others out in return but I don't even feel like doing it when so many reactions are a lie. I was going to try for 200 this week but I don't know I'm so annoyed with the system.

The most annoying feature would be RNG. You could end up farming stuff for a lot of time. But if you don't care for items as much as others you should be fine.

One of the issues I talked about earlier is the duplicate voting not counting. There doesn't seem to be a clear indicator on whether votes are weekly or daily, and this causes a lot of people to also duplicate reactions when they don't affect your actual ratings. (This is also why I stopped reacting to people I know I voted on). Not saying it's all of them, but it is a decent chunk of reactors, too.

Disclaimer: Unintentional flex incoming. I simply can't complain about the house-touring chat, because I only posted once and reacted to others in it for like 3 hours. After less than 6 hours I had my goal of 200 Witch-reactions finished. So far I've covered:

1. The amount of times it takes to reach 50/200 votes.
2. FOMO and Missing out on 50/200 frames (and starting over) (swap to a shop-system?)
3. Trending Feature is unnecessary (why have 200 limits if the trending houses all exceed this)
4. Random Feature is not random (it's an individual queue that you have to self-refresh and step out of once you complete the queue)
5. The Weekly Rewards do not encourage active use of the feature (doesn't stimulate the use of the feature past 15 votes a week)

I just realized, if the visiting 1k houses is a long-term accomplishment, then why are we expected to earn 200 votes in a specific category- essentially 1/5th of that long-term accomplishment

To be fair, the home reactions channel did help me reach 50 votes at least. It was painful but it was a lot more effective than asking for tours in game. After learning today from Twi that the votes are weekly instead of daily and the game not showing that you already voted for someone that week, that does explain a lot. I think it's fine as is and there's just sadly no perfect way to handle it right now with how flawed the house tour system is.

I would like to add that a lot of this comes down to the dev team not recognizing that a lot of the use of this feature comes down to the Discord because it's not optimized in-game so I would like to reiterate that you mods are doing well w/ what you're given

The purpose of that channel wasn't to be vote-for-vote. It's just the way a lot of people seem to be getting traction is by promising votes back (now, whether they actually do is another story).
You don't owe anyone anything.

The only things I can think to add (if you like the ideas of course) would be

9. A way to favorite players whose houses you enjoyed
10. Swapping it so giving reactions gives you credit towards the nameplates instead of receiving reactions. This way people are actually uploading finished plots more often too because you wouldn't have to upload a WIP house to get credit.

U can submit your plot by checking out the green board on the left of this picture

You have to submit your plot at the green home tours board.
The settings you are showing let you choose if friends/anyone can visit your actual plot when you are home. The green board let's them visit a copy and vote for it even if you are offline

y'know, this is just wishful thinking on my part, but i really would like a cooking system thats similar to genshin's, where u need to cook a dish a few times, like 10 or 15, and then u can just auto cook with a slight decrease in the chances of having starred food, that way cooking for quests and stuff will still be pretty challenging
