I still didn't find out the limit but there is a set range you can make things float in..... at least that's what someone said to me xd

but if you overlap building blocks on the floor without attaching them to each other... and then pick them up with ALT group select.... and put them on a shelf or whatever other thing you have atm.... then you can take out each and every block without taking the whole structure... thus what you dont pick is left and floats

if you're on a plot, maybe you can try to move plots

or ask a friend for a server sync... if all of that doesn't work... then you have to wait for your teleport home cooldown is ready... that resets the current status of your character and will likely be faster than the mods who will respond to you tomorrow
