When they started out online we had them in the same room with us with the screen facing everyone. They got out of line even a little and they were banned for a week/ month whatever. Not all parents are that strict though to be sure

Teenagers is where it gets tricky imo. Because then you’re needing to phase them into managing stuff themselves without you guarding them. And when you hand over control on what is super subjective. But don’t do what my parents did and just never let them have a private thought or conversation until 18 Anne leave for college and they suddenly lose all that structure at once. Yes. But a lot of people are reporting it seems rarer. Spawn rates for everything are messed up atm, and seem to vary a bit by server whether they’re low or high. Or green cylinders in the case of oysters/shells. -_-

I’ve been confused with the new behavior. If I hit a rock and walk away a lot of the time nothing is dropped when I come back after it’s been mined. Or if nobody came behind me to hit it, it will even “heal” back to full health.

so first we had usual spots for palium, everybody rejoiced, then they removed that and everybody hated it, people were fighting about etiquette and what not, so then they made it fully soloable, don't worry about others just mine mine mine
they just killed it, took it from alright co-op to pvp to solo

I like the new system. I don't have to wait half an hour to mine a rock and there's still callouts and teamwork from what I have seen and experienced

the drop timer is low and if somebody mined it while you were away and you have no way of knowing when it was, yeah the drop might disappear, so don't hit a stone, they're basically semi instanced, fully mine things, others will see them fully hp for themselves

there's no reason to call it out anymore because you can just mine it and keep going, so people who had issues with the "social etiquette" before now can just not worry whatsoever about callouts
to me that's less co-op than what we had at the beginning of beta with the usual spots

Yeah but before at the start you didn't need to call out either, you still could secretly mine, atleast now there is a safety net, what is the chance that you are in a server where multiple people don't call it out. It is kinda our job as a community to keep callouts alive, if we want it as a sociale ethicit. And not everyone plays or enjoys to play with groups or other people, it isn't gated behind co-op like flow trees
