Your loot amount does not depend on your Focus bar, if that's what you're asking, only the value of the XP that the loot gives you. In short, if you want to level up a skill, it's ideal to have your Focus bar full at all times. But if you're not worried about that and just want to take your time, then you can ignore it. That being said, your Renown points cap at 1000, so make sure you're spending them, whether it's the Dragon and or Phoenix Shrines, Home Plot Writs, or new wallpaper/roofing at the Town Halll.
