you simply cast your line, and wait until the fish fully bites, it's a split second but you can see which fish it is before it disappears.

There should be a settings where you can hide/open the right panel of items just by pressing R1. Move R1/L (Friends) to the menu together with Map, Quests, Acomplisments etc instead. Unessesary placement. By doing so you can free the up down left right pad when the inventory menu is up. This game needs a quickshift between weapons and gear so when your pickaxing/axing and bugs or animals appears you dont have to open the wheel, move it to the bow or pouch and equip before you can use it. Its a hazzle. If u could left right cycle and up down type of arrows etc it would make it so much better.

it's probably the hotel wifi, it's not usually strong to be honest. My spouse works out of hotels and he ususally has to use his mobile hotspot because it's better thant he hotel one at times.
