also, depending on how a game goes, it's generally best to discard suits that other people are also holding because fighting over the same suit just makes the game longer which is bad for earnings.

Yeah seafood is also ignored Dx i take the chance tho i love seafood. But ive noticed its because seafood cards tend to appear later in the game so theyre hard to collect if you dont get a half set almost completed as a start

My strat is go fast, and through as many games as possible, from round one i try to notice what everyone is grabbing and adjust my suit to win faster or grant someone the victory

If i want extra tickets i change my suits to whatever everyone is discarding to win faster, and hold the cards i know they want releasing little by little. Works decently.
