Rule of thumb:
Never bounce back and forth between stations when solo cooking unless you absolutely have to. You'll be more likely to get it all done fast enough, and be more likely to get star quality, especially if you're using star quality ingredients

they're trees that give flow wood. it depends on the size. some you can cut down yourself and others you will need help

im playing in a server and everyone is mad because someone keeps stealing all the pal people call out

So flow trees do take multiple people to chop down (usually) You CAN solo chop down up to a medium tree with an exquisite axe. But a large you definitely need at least 2 people. Yes it is good to call them out for one, so others get some of the loot (just have to hit tree one time to get credit) and also get help. There is also flow tree groves (multiple Flow trees or FT) that spawn at midnight in Bahari bay at random locations. There can be up to 2 up at a time if the first one is not cut down.

They're purple trees which are harder to chop. If you find one you may need help chopping it down. Flow logs are a somewhat rare resource, soif you want to you can call it out. They heal so there is no limit to how many people can share them. Once every solar cycle in game at midnight a flow tree spawns. This is a a collection of several trees with a purple Aurora thing above them. For this one I would consider it bad to chop on your own.

They can spawn randomly in both Kilima and bahari. But the groves only spawn in Bahari and at midnight. you Can make trees spawn by going around and chopping down lots of trees, then there is a chance when the tree regrows it becomes a flow tree.

Flow trees, pal, and epic/rare insect have a higher spawn chance if you take all the regular types in the locations that it is possible for them to spawn. For instance pal is more likely to spawn around hodari and the mine if you mine all the stone and ore in that area the chance a pal node will spawn increase as it has more possible spawn locations.

Realistically none of the resources in the game are super rare other than the really rare fish (which can't be shared). The rare bugs can, but it can be really hard to share them.

Oh another thing about groves. When they spawn there will always be a epic bug that spawns within them too.

You will find that some people have a high standard of etiquette and might get mad if something isn't shared, but I think most people think that if you find a resource first you are the one who chooses whether or not you want to share it. Perhaps the one exception is the flow grove. So someone might get mad, but don't stress about it.

I agree when I farm a location continuously and a small flow tree or pal pops up I won't call it out. Typically I will for medium or large but depends on the server and if I have a time limit.

I think it is skills... When you have an exquisite bow and fine arrows you can get most animals with 1 hit in Kilima. I can go through 100 arrows easily in one night.

So I play PC and Switch (Switch when partner works from home and steal my PC o.O) and I definitely feel that the target area is a bit bigger on NS. I hit shots I think are off. BUT, it's much more clunky to play on NS. The ability to aim via joycon is harder imo, plus the graphics often result in creatures disappearing and glitching out. I usually got forage and mine on NS, then everything else PC.
