Which tools ?? You need to be at a certain level in a skill to upgrade your tools. Once you reach that level the NPC that sells the recipes will send you a letter telling you he has a recipe for sale. I think for each skills it’s level 3 then level 6 then I think level 9

yeah 100% NOT a DDOS attack. A) Palia runs on AWS EC2s if I'm not mistaken. So It'd have to get through that, AWS is pretty damned good about stopping basic DDOS attacks. More than likely an influx in traffic due to holidays, And NOT having elastic servers.

i have actually, i have a minor in computer science. however i also know from previous server downs and outtage, the devs/mods have been VERY slow to comment on ongoing issues or even acknowledge them in some cases. i know its a small team and i know it's a holiday but speaking from previous experience, the player base tends to get left largely in the dark when it comes to knowing if the teams are even AWARE of an issue, let alone working on a fix

You can do things together and get the same reward. Both of you contribute to a cooking recipe? you get the food. Both of you tap the same rock with your pickaxe? you get the same loot. Same goes for trees, bugs, etc. (Fishing you speed each other up, not the same fish)
