Quick turnaround gig. remote contract.

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Developer to help us build a high-performance, browser-based video editing experience. Specifically, we need someone with deep experience in React and the reactvideoeditor.com SDK (or similar WebAssembly-based video frameworks) to implement professional-grade editing features.

The ideal candidate understands that video editing on the web isn't just about UI—it’s about managing memory, handling heavy assets, and ensuring a seamless export process.

** Key Responsibilities**
Local Export Engine: Implement and optimize local rendering/exporting capabilities (client-side) to ensure high-quality output without heavy server reliance.Creative Transitions: Build a library of smooth transitions (fades, wipes, zooms) between video clips using the SDK’s timeline API.Visual & Audio FX: Integrate color correction tools (LUTs, brightness, contrast) and audio processing (fades, volume leveling, basic EQ).Performance Optimization: Ensure the timeline remains responsive even when handling multiple high-resolution tracks and effects.

Technical Requirements
Expert-level React: Deep understanding of hooks, state management (for complex timelines), and performance profiling.SDK Mastery: Direct experience with reactvideoeditor.com or similar SDKs. Video Fundamentals: Familiarity with codecs, bitrates, frame rates, and how browsers handle canvas and video elements.Experience with WebGL/WebAssembly: Bonus points if you understand how these power modern web video rendering.

We are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in a browser. You won't just be "making a website"; you’ll be building a sophisticated tool that users rely on for their creative workflow. We value clean code, intuitive UX, and developers who aren't afraid to dive into the "math" of video processing.
