I understand trying to adjust gameplay with the removal of side sprinting and while I personally am hating life right now I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually... However, if this was truly something the devs didn't want in the game in the first place and were already planning to remove previously, why wait so long? Or even better, why didn't they start with no side sprinting? If this were set from the start, people wouldn't be complaining because it would just be part of the game? Im just looking for a little clarity if anyone knows why side sprinting was ever added if it wasn't something the devs liked.

Think it just wasn’t something that came up initially maybe and they wanted to find a good place to do it but never did until now
