Recently me and some friends started talking about how much we enjoy the hover loot system for pc and how console does not have it. Which sucks to be honest so I came up with a system that may make it work on console and I think it should be added.
When opening an inventory/crate etc.
You can now use the left analog stick to move around and you can also use X to jump while in the inventory.
Looting as of now requires you to use the analog stick or d pad and to either click x or square to loot.
But now the system will be replaced with a new CURSOR that is controlled with the right analog stick.
The X and Square will now be replaced with R2 and L2 this makes it so you can loot quickly and more efficiently just like pc. I speak for many players when I say this, "This would arguably save this game.

@mint pebble Yes! Make auto run a bind as well not a timer! My stick drift kicks it out 80% of the time! Accessibility and customization for controls is very limited imo

Idc about hiver loot, all i want from the looting system is to have some sort of prioritize list you can make, bc im sick of holding down square on fullkit body that i killed, just for my imventory to fill with 2 cloth, torch, grub, hemp seeds, empty cans of tuna and a broken custom smg, then the ak bolty, fullkit pieces all the good stuff is left on the body and then i gotta waste time dropping stuff and looting again, like cmon it should not be this difficult to loot

@gloomy sinew This is what hover loot fixes. Faster more controlled looting. Setting up a bunch of looting settings like it’s Fortnite kills the games vibe imo

Idk how hoverloot is more controlled than just using the dpads tbh, you literally cant loot wrong stuff with dpad m, its just slower

Hover loot placement becomes muscle memory, then you just toggle your hover loot input to grab what you want as you move your cursor. More control over what you pick up in a significantly smaller amount of time. With the right button layout, they could add walking with left stick and looting with right stick while in lootables!
