#Lack of Communication to playerbase, D11 Respond please.

When we make a tell the dev post, there needs to be some kind of dev interaction that shows that you are actually seeing the legitimate bugs/recommendations we are bringing to your attention. Too many times have I made bug reports that get left unread. I’ll be seriously surprised if you even read this and take any action upon it at this point.

An idea that might be food for thought and for you to send up the ladder. How about a monthly appearance from a D11 representative in Voice chat like they did...What if the discord community had an "Ask the devs" section that allowed players to vote on hot topics, and then the D11 team could choose a handful of the top questions to discuss in the monthly voice chat appearance. It would give the community a sense of being heard as well as D11 being current on the player bases' feel for the state of the game.
So my idea is that the wipe day stage that they have been doing with the mods and a D11 rep (this could rotate which D11 rep as to give different perspectives) could be incredibly useful to help with the feeling of lack of transparency/communication on bugs/future updates/general game development knowledge and more. What i propose is that a specific channel called ask D11 gets created where users can submit questions or raise concern about problems. During that wipe day stage, the D11 rep who is avaliable can pick the top 3/5/7/10 questions and talk about them, maybe give some technical game development insight, or bring light to the subject all while giving the players a sense of being heard.
Ngl I’ve been asking for this for a while, but do what face punch do and have a commits page, but as a thread in the discord, whenever a bug gets fixed, a new feature is being worked on, a new mechanic is added, they put it as a commit so the community sees what’s being done

We do see what get's posted, writing a response usually results in derailed posts as people come asking about other topics or just being daft...
When we need more information we'll respond or message directly, and whilst I understand and agree it's frustrating not seeing something, it doesn't mean something isn't happening behind the scenes 🙂
Do you at least find the idea of the monthly stage session as a cool possibility or is it not an option.
it's not my place to answer that, tha'ts a Pedro or Rustzilla question
Ok thanks👌
If youre able to, could you forward this to Pedro or Rustzilla?
wen wipe
Honestly even just an emoji reaction of acknowledgement from a dev member would be better than nothing. I get that this server has a lot of spam and disrespectful folks, but for those of us who are well-intentioned and put actual effort into reporting issues or suggesting changes, it does get a bit frustrating to be met with absolute silence 95% of the time
I do like the commits feed idea, and I feel like that would put a lot of people at ease, at least just seeing that something is happening
Must say Will is the only person that hangs around here. Other D11 members you don't even appear here, if they do its couple times a year when you see someone responding to reports.
The people who are responsible about actual bug fixing or logging them....No Idea if they even exist sometimes. lol.
I'm just the noisy one, I promise you I am not alone here 🙂
Maybe 2026 comunity manager promotion ?
You are born for this. And you like to be noisy
Just wish you guys would make a list showing what you are working on of bug fixes so we know what’s already being worked on and will save you guys a lot of time of the same bugs being reported multiple times.
And make that list easy to find here on discord.
They have a website that does that
https://bugs.double11.com/rust/
That hasn’t been updated since Beta
I did this before, takes a lot of work to update
It is not updated at all
Also takes a lot of work and frustration when players can’t see what goes on and they get multiple tickets and tell the devs about the same issues daily. Should be done by a paid person from d11.
What we did back then was purely voluntary and helping by testing reported bugs to pass onto D11, not in the same position as I was back then to do so. I know Luke checks these to check for bugs but nothing posted back as such
