Terrible Recoil Update

The new crouch for better aim feature in this game is quite possibly the worst implementation I’ve ever seen get added to any game in my many years of playing games.

Has completely changed the game for the worse.

Can just about see a persons head when crouched because of the terrible terrain console has (uneven ground and grass) and having to quickly press the crouch button taking your thumb off of the aim button whilst trying to aim at the person in front of you puts you at such a disadvantage in every gun fight. Should not be the same as PC as they can press multiple buttons at once whilst also aiming.

Played this game since the beta and unfortunately will no longer be playing due to this terrible update.

well 2 things....

1. Controller remapping would make this a lot easier, (which can be done in the console's settings)
2. new recoil works just fine on console, idk about "for the worse." been playing with it for a month and its solid, its not hard at all and is easy to adapt to in fights.

I do agree with the terrain argument tho, grass 100% needs to be shortened.

Shouldn’t need to change ur button mapping on the console settings as that will also mean ur buttons will be different for every game u play, not just rust. Also like saying “go out and buy the dual edge controller so u have the extra back buttons”. making the game P2W

If the crouch mechanic wasn’t a thing I wouldn’t have an issue with learning the new recoil, but I’m not building a whole new muscle memory for a game that clearly doesn’t care about its players anyway. It also completely slows down the PvP style as more people will now crouch walk everywhere so they can avoid having to crouch before getting into a fight

Just basically agreed with you, this is console not pc. Moving your finger to crouch and aim at the same time is awful, if the devs would’ve done a thorough job and tried it themselves then I believe this recoil would have never been pushed out.

Standing recoil needs to be reduced by at LEAST 30-40% and then it should be fine, just remove the need for crouching and the recoil update will be good imo
