Old gen was good, but its 2025, you could probably get a new gen for decently cheap

The problem with keeping old gen is the division of labour.
Devs would still need to support it.
It would make new gen suffer.
Getting rid of old gen is the best solution.

So this is a recoil thing and not so much about keeping old gen. I do think it would be cool if they kept it as an option for comm servers. There’s a bunch of speculation on why they don’t but it would be cool imo.

Honestly I think the biggest issue with new recoil has to do with all the experienced PvPers. It's just a slap in the face to make us start at square one after spending hundreds/thousands of hours learning old recoil. Just not worth reinvesting that time again

Yes and no but definitely not for me. I play solo and constantly move while PvPing. I don't have time to stop moving and crouch to take on a 3 man pushing me

Have you personally tried it?
I can go toe to toe with just about anyone (anybody thats legit at least) with current recoil or at least hold my own against really good players. New recoil I stand no chance while moving

I like the fact that it takes skill and practice. AK is still easy for me to shoot standing or crouched with new recoil but it's just the movement part that kills it for me

When was it tweaked? I was on a couple weeks ago but haven't been back since. Been trying to PvP as much as I can with old recoil and mentally preparing for my rust retirement 😭

It did, the AK was tweaked the week after or so. Much easier to stand now.

Standing was pretty easy for me. Just the movement part that I can't seem to get down with. Moving recoil still the same?

Yeah, they still don't want you to move and fire without crouching. Same as PC.

Keeping the Old gen servers up are also just hurting D11’s pockets. It’s pretty expensive to keep all those servers running. It’s best to get rid of Old Gen for a multitude of reasons
